Yea I've heard 'Nole is a tad uppity, a little closer to what the "outside" would expect outta an ultra exclusive club.

LMAO, I dropped in to visit with Bob Ford and they sent a cart out to get me at the gate.

It's an Amazing Club house.

 

I like Pine's better cuz it's "Eastern Old School" however Seminole is Over the Top nice.

 

Oh yea, Maddie was Pissed but it was nice that a cute Blonde couldn't bat her eyes, smile and get away with murder, lmao

 

Oh, there was no parking outside the club so she went shopping, lol

Ironically, a member at our club in town who's a member at Augusta was going to arrange it for 2013 and I got sick. He said it's something to look forward to when I get back however if I have no game, no way I'm gonna Play it.

 

If I can get some semblance of a game back, I will Play, if not, oh well, I've for some nice memories, lol.

I had 2-3 similar from out front though that was 2-3 phones ago before I learned how to save pictures-

 

The employee who rode me back to the clubhouse asked that if I had my phone, I please not take pictures "inside."

 

I took it he meant anywhere inside the gates-

 

Plus, you know my thing about acting like you belong, lol

 

Nothing looks worse and more touristy than some yahoo snapping pictures, haha-

 

Plus, I think he said that cuz he saw me snapping pics when he rode up-

 

And Bro, those are 2 of the top 3-5 clubs in the country, depending on the mag, with Oakmont usually being 2-3 and Seminole at 3-5.

 

Actually when Bob took the Seminole job in 2000, Oakmont was 2 and Seminole #3.

The guys from up here who've Played it, including my Bro, have said basically what Swoosh said, that it was nice though my Bro, who's also Played Augusta(I have not), said Augusta, Pine and even Oakmont are much more impressive tracks.

 

All I know is that it was the be all end all for Ben~

 

I don't know how much of that was the track and how much was that there were less than 200 golfing member then(there are around 300 now) and he could have the solitude and privacy that he craved while he prepared for Augusta.

 

Regardless, I'd Love to have the opportunity to chirp, "it ain't all that," lol

 

We'll see :)

I think you're right about Hogan perspective. ......the green complexes are awesome and a few memorable holes.

There's a small course 30 mins south called Gulfstream CC ......hidden jewel.....I don't believe it's a Ross design but just a joy to play.....old school Florida oceanside.

 

Jupiter Hills.....host of the 1987 U.S. Am won by Billy Mayfair , designed by Fazio is freakin Awesome! #1 in my book.....
