This was suppose to be the "next" Free Bird, and though it never reached those heights, it's a hell of a song, none the less~

 

And Train Train was just a kick a** rock n roll song....

Three of the four original members were in fact part American Indians(Jackson Spires/Part Cherokee/drums, Ricky Medlocke/Sioux/Guitar-vocals & Greg T. Walker/Eastern Creek, a Floridian tribe-Bass) and Medlocke and Walker in fact left Blackfoot in 1971 to join Skynyrd though they quit, reformed, rejoined Skynyrd a second time then decided Van Zant was Axel Rose 20+ years before Axel Rose(ie., an A**Hole, lol) and reupped with Blackfoot.

 

Sorry for the ramble, they were one of my 2-3 top bands back in the day, lol

 

These yahoos runnin around now are not Blackfoot. They have some A**Hole dressed in an Indian costume and I don't give a s*** if it's frickin Gerinimo, he looks like a moron jumpin around on stage.

 

Looks like one of the damn Village People stumbled onto the stage with a rock band

Please ramble on always. Yeah Highway Song was supposed to be another 'Anthem' and was for a bit. Then rock n' roll right after disco kinda faded and other stuff took over. Most of which I liked a lot. Just wish Blackfoot and others would of had more of a chance to stick around. A big shame really.

It won the 1990 Grammy for best song though it topped the charts in 1989. It is my favorite song and so reminds me of Richard. He has always pushed me to the front even though many times it was he that got us there yet he never ever stood in front of me, literally or figuratively. He has always put the children and I first, even defying his doctors and jeapardizing his health and prolonging this process to do so. But I know you sweetheart and as your father told me years ago, you're your own man and you'll do it your way and there's nothing I or anyone else can do to change you. You've always had my back and been by my side and allowed me to shine. Thank you sweetheart. I love you. Always. All my love, M :)

I always forget how good the Cure were. Rob Smith was a very talented artist. He crafted a very unique sound and manufactured many hooks that would not leaver your head. If your at work and you get a Cure song in your head and you're toast. Plus that weird snake-looking guitarist was pretty good. They were almost like a jam band live, with lots of extended guitar play.

This is one of my favorite mellow folk groups, the Indigo Girls. This first song, "Closer To Fine," was the lead track on their second album, titled just Indigo Girls, which was released in '89 and went on to win them a Grammy for Best Contemporary Folk and they lost out for Best New Artist to frickin Milli Vanilli, lmao. This album eventually went Platimum twice over though they continue to release music and are a great concert.

 

Maddie and I caught em in '13 when they came to town and we were the only straight individuals in the first thee rows, lol, though peeps were very laid back and it was a great show!

 

I'm a friggin metro sexual so it was cool :)

 

The second song, a "Least Complicated" is my second favorite song, off of their 1994 hugely successful album, Swamp Ophelia,

and these to albums are two of the few albums that I've ever listenerd to where every single song is excellent and I listen to the who album/disc all the way through. If ya think about it, there aren't many albums/discs where that is the case that you want to listen to the whole album, and they did this routinely.
