  Here are the pics that I snapped this morning. 
The clubs are ‘The Standard 85s’, they are pinned to Dynamic Gold shafts, except for the 6&8, which are True Temper, and they all have Golf Pride Tour Wrap grips in decent condition. 
  I’m planning on hitting the range today and I’ll report in on how they hit.

These are the 1985 Standards.  For what that's worth.  Nice find.

They are a classic forged iron....try em and see how they feel....LOL bet they will feel pretty good... may not be easy to strike though

totally unsure if they are anything worth while. Northwestern flooded the market with some really bad stuff but these are very pleasing for sure. Been a local FB add for awhile here with a full set of these with woods for $100. I’m not comfortable beating people up but if it was $30-40 I’d own them already. Weiskopf was a decent piece of history in the golf world. He was kinda the next Jack but never came to fruition

Around masters next yr (when I usually start selling) I'll list the whole set starting big $49.99, likely. 

I might have to whack them first and see what feel they have.

The reason I'm asking is that Northwestern made a lot of chrome plated blades during that era that were actually die cast zinc.

 

Now I doubt anyone would put the word "forged" on such a product, and those don't look like they have the extra thick hosels which one typically finds on zinc irons, but it's worth checking.

 

BTW, you'll get no "store line shame" from me.  I shot a 69 with a store line set at 15.  If the grips are good and you don't have a club or two in there with a swingweight that's really high or low they'll play fine.  I'm not a big believer in significant inconsistencies when it comes to steel shafts of a single model, even if they are lower grade.

 

My problem is that the Arnold Palmer "swing your swing" commercial came along way too late for me.  I always wanted someone else's swing, and spent the rest of my days chasing that stupidity instead of having the courage to do it my way.

Found these at my favorite thrift store Friday:                                                                                    a set of MacGregpr MT eye-o-matic REC NO M75TW woods,(1,2,3,4), shaft label on 3 of them show MacGregor TrueTemper Tourney & aged full cord grips. while everything seems to match on sole, top, 6 screw red/white/red inserts....I wonder about the driver, it is brown rather than black, no shaft label, & a cracking up green/black Victory grip.
not sure of era...are they perhaps circa mid 1950s or remakes from the '80s?

 

The bag just has that Jack Nicklaus badge on it....in great shape

Not remakes, those are the real deal. The set is from 1953 to 1955. None are completely original, the driver is the least original. Those would have been black with red paint fill, not the white on them now.

 

The driver has been refinished, sanded, and either re-shafted or the original shaft has been re-set. My guess is reshafted. The 2-4 don't look like they have been sanded, and they have original shafts, so I would guess they have been re-painted but not refinished.

 

This is as good as a thrift store find gets, you had a good day. Refinished, those would be great to play.

It was a good day...the woods cost $6/each...btw - the finish on the 3 black woods seems to be in process of loosening

The other find was unrelated to golf....a vintage 9' 2pc Shakespear Wonderod Howland proccess surf rod...had a couple of guides gone but easy enough to strip all guides & restorre....another $6.

Awesome find! I really have a soft spot for the M75. Stained wood is very cool but I Ive always liked the black and red white combination of the M75 possibly more than the M85. I have a beautiful refinished to original 4 wood.

GW score, price was right for $13. Never really thought of Lynx and persimmons in same sentence. Interesting little weights in soles. Nice grain on the fairways. Sky marks on driver. Think maybe cotton whipping cuz it’s all fuzzy? Everything Lynx branded. Original grips all dried up. Regular flex. Should be easy to make pretty. I’m getting really close to starting my refinishing phase.

Very nice score. I have the Lynx USA bladed iron set, 3-SW, and would have made good use of the 4 and 5 wood. The irons are wonderful regarding looks and feedback but not easy to hit, sharp leading edge, thin topline and completely flat sole.

  Another FANTASTIC day thrifting in SC!!!

I acquired a vintage maroon Titleist bag (inside dividers are raggedy), a brown vinyl and black canvas Burton bag, a maroon canvas Top Flite bag (no shoulder strap), a 2-8 set of Spalding Top-Flite Tournament Model irons (50’s ?), and a 2-8 set of Golden Ram Pro model irons. 
  I’ve been cleaning on them all afternoon and I’m still in disbelief at this find!

A MacGregor Pencil Bag

 

Complete with rain cover and 5 practice balls.

 

It's a bit rusty and some of the piping has perished, but it still looks a treat and all the zippers work.

Found these in an old bag at the GW. It was an older Slazenger cart bag. 

The brackets on the side have me a bit puzzled.

i've never seen two brackets on the outside of bag that weren't intended  to hold an umbrella, or maybe a ball retriever (and no, i'm not going to mention anything about having to have one regripped.) 🙂
