Jersey Golfers

So I figured I'd start a thread to gauge all of the Jersey golfers here. I'm down in Bayville but always looking for new guys to tee it up with across the state. Unfortunately, most of my buddies either don't play or would be better off bowling instead of playing golf. Would love to get some rounds together with the Jersey guys.

I'm a member at Seaview. Cmon down! Or, I haven't played Sea Oaks or Ocean Acres in forever. I used to love OA, scroungy muni and usually packed but an interesting and fun layout. Love that semi island par 3 green on 10.

Thanks for the replies fellas. Actually completely forgot that I even posted this until today. Glad to see we have some Jersey guys out there. Obviously starting to wind the season down but if anyone is looking for a game on the weekends I'd be interested.

I also branch out a bit, I played East Orange 3 times last fall.

Same here - have not played Flanders, closest is Neshanic - played twice this Feb :)

May play Roycebrook soon - $25 walking weekday winter rate. Guys I play with play Quail Brook a lot and rotate to others. Black Friday sale sells county golf discount gift cards that do not expire - get $120 for every $100, great deal

Flanders is nice. The blue white is a fairly easy 18, but traps are in pretty tough spots, so need to be accurate. Red Yellow is tougher with a lot of uphill and downhill lies, but less troublesome traps. In the summer, it's a very nice course, on par with Quail and Neshanic.

 

I have yet to play Royce, but it's on my list.

We have some of the best public courses in the state. Charleston Springs South is in phenomenal shape.

 

I would love to join anyone in a round(s) of golf. With some frosty cold beverages of course too.

Idk mannnn, Sommrset county courses are a very good value. Neshanic and Royce are probably the nicest public courses in the state for the price. Also, Quail Brook is very nice for the money as a cheaper option.

Middlesex County here for which we have no good courses.... I play mostly Somerset and Union county courses frequently. Ash Brook is the closest course except for Plainfield CC.

Anyone willing to step up and organize a NJWRX outing? I don't think Benzo could get all of us (4 - 8?) out on Woodcrest, so I'm thinking someplace around Monmouth Co, or maybe more west, like Cream Ridge? Although, we have some great courses down here at the shore. Sometime in May?

In Middlesex/Monmouth and a member at Glenwood. Not fancy by any stretch but maybe a centrally located spot. Reopens this weekend just in time for the blizzard. Not sure what guest fee are going to be this year but I'll post in a few weeks (and once I see what the spring conditions look like).

I used to drive by Woodcrest all the time, and my mouth watered a little each time, so Benzo you owe me a quart of drool.

 

I'll offer myself up as coordinator if Benz can get us on. How's this, I will put up a potential slot of days, and everyone replies back with their availability, and I will post a summary of responses, and depending on response, we will either commit or try again? Hope I can live up to the responsibility...right now how about last week of April, 4/3 - 4/9?

 

Benzo, can you PM me on terms, availability, etc at your home course?

OK folks, the dates I posted are April 3 - 9, Mon - Sun. Benz said that there are GAP matches on Sundays, so what are your availabilities for that Mon thru Sat? Please RSVP asap andI will post up a summary. He indicated fees will be ~$80.
