Flanders is nice. The blue white is a fairly easy 18, but traps are in pretty tough spots, so need to be accurate. Red Yellow is tougher with a lot of uphill and downhill lies, but less troublesome traps. In the summer, it's a very nice course, on par with Quail and Neshanic.

 

I have yet to play Royce, but it's on my list.

 

Played Royce again the other day. Its still in winter rules until around april 1st.

Had lots of mud balls and balls that plugged. Its still a good challenge in winter esp. w/o getting any roll on driver or irons.

Neshanic is a cut above, but I think Flanders and Quail are pretty comparable. Flanders has a little bit more "variety" of scenery, but the fairways, tee boxes, greens and traps are maintained to similar levels I feel. I never played Flanders past October, but my one complaint with Quail is there HORRIBLE leave removal in the fall. Fairway #1 was literally all leaves and I lost my ball that I pured right down middle because of that. Really annoying.

BTW, I hosted a Jersey GolfWRX outing a few seasons ago at Old York in Chesterfield. We had a lot of interest, but ended up with only 10 or 11 players total if I remember correctly. Tough to put these things together and get firm commitments. Was a good time though and OY is always available as I'm a member and also on the BOD.

What's the typical HC range at these? I'd love to come to one (golf buddy would probably also) but we are mainly shooting 80s and 90s. Every now and then he'll toss in a 79, but not me.

I'd be in depending on date. For the sake of the guys that have never play WCC before though, I'd push it back a month. Just my opinion. Greens will be punched a week before the dates your throwing out according to my sources.

Haha hey you're welcome to come if you can get a plane ride ;)

 

One thing though that will be really tough are the winds. Maybe one or two days last year were the winds constantly over 20mh, which in Aruba on the east coast (where Tierra Del Sol is) they are always generally 20-30. Looks like I'll be playing a lot of bump and run, and knockdowns. The other course I'm playing there is only about 6400 yards from the whites, but it probably plays more like 7000 due to winds.

I will be staying in cherry hill and visiting Atlantic City in June. Any ideas of where to play. I'll be having my 6 year old son tagging along. Looking for something fun and not to daunting where I start cussing out my son while I play haha
