816 H1 Hybrid WOW (coming from a hybrid hater)

I bought the 21* H1 and really like it. Feels great and I hit it consistent and for me very long. I'm adding the 19* and going no fairway wood. Dying to get out more often. My home course really does not call for driver very often and these 816's really offer a more appropriate yardage and more accuracy from the tee.

That's what it's all about. Sensible call. Not sure you are particularly suited to GolfWrx with that kind of common sense approach, but if you spend much time on here, you'll soon bedcome as deranged as the rest of us on here! Enjoy your time though.

I had a fitting last weekend and to my surprise the H1 came out on top. I'm not keen on the bulbous look or the grey colour but I couldn't argue with the performance. Matched with an Accra FX 200 it was pretty much unbeatable.

All this love for the H1 you guys forced me to go buy one last night, haha. Here's an interesting link to some info on how adapters for the 913/915h work with the 816 line and vice versa.

paired with a DI best feeling shaft/head combo ever. very low spinning, even the H model. great shape and sound. just a performer

 

+1 to that. I am currently loving my setup. Getting fit was the best thing I ever did!

 

I play the H1 at 19 and H2 at 23.

 

This combo actually makes a lot of sense after hitting them....the H1 is wood like and at 19 is basically a 5 wood sorta thing and the 23 h2 feels like a hybrid.

Don't think so. Hybrids will be released with irons from now on - apparently anyway.
