Sixty I looked at the website and did take the flyover tour of the holes. Yes that does look like an excellent course.

My favorite holes were 13,15,16, and 18.

Is that the clubhouse off in the distance behind the 17th green or is that some mega mansion?

 

Looks to be well groomed and well run.  You play there a number of times every season? 

 Mega mansion... Yes, I used to play there often when I could stand up (insert my favorite standup comic, Brian Regan) It sits in the middle of a well to do neighborhood in Granville, Ohio.

#18is a blast to tee off from, you stand on a giant hill as you overlook the remainder of the fairway and green below and you swear  you can drive the 340 yards to the green from the white tees. I used to come to the fringe (close) when I had an 8.5* driver in my good younger days.  Never made it on though. Now with my 12* I can hit it very straight, but of course distance wise, it's a 71 year old with foot drop etc. who would love to smash it again. In my dreams I can- insert Acetaminophen PM, ha

After we had our first 18 holes together in Big Stuville, South Carolina, 5 of us Grillsters went back to the Hampton Inn and showered up. We then waited for the free Senior Transit Bus to take us to the cafeteria to meet up with the rest of the group.

The reality is that Reasy owns all the pages, the Grille from day one is his. 
 

Point two is no food can be sold on here unless its Gus and the girls Tammy and Cyndie, they have sole catering rights.

 

Point three all Grillers should be members of the OGA. To join the OGA and learn the important rules, contact BIG STU, he is the founder, CEO and rules coordinator and as part of the preparation for membership make sure you have a size 7 NIKE or similar.  ( very serious emoji )

I hadn't Sixty.

Well now I know what Gus and his gals look like. How perfect to show on Saturday Night Sixty. Saturday Night the joint is jumping. Oh and I din't know Gus had got one. The Silver Spatula is a coveted award in the culinary industry. 

 

T&C are dressed like cocktail waitresses on the Vegas Strip. lol 

I used to have some advice that I told behind the scenes  to the naive hostesses that worked the Las Vegas Strip with me. The lower the cut on top the more tips you will see. You've got some money makers now use them. They all made big bank, and to think I never increased my cut from 20%.  😆

The NFL Playoffs started late this afternoon in San Francisco.  I know I am one of only a few fans of Pro football here in the Grille.

I will be tuning into the games a great deal all weekend long. 

So I'll see you gents here and there.

Thank you Sixty for the update. Your info made me think I should edit my story from Sept. I think I mixed up the girls. I haven't heard what became of that little dust up with the "Diners Drive-Inns and Dives" guy.

I am not a huge NFL fan, but I am a KC Chiefs fan.  However, I am watching the SF/Seattle playoff game.  The 49's 3rd string rookie quarterback, Purdy, is a cool story.

After the funeral today, I went over Parker’s Mountain to eat at a restaurant on the Bay of Fundy. It is a hidden gem, not much to look at but great food.

 

 

Forgive the poor quality pictures. The fresh haddock and scallops were delicious.

 

My trip home is going to be an adventure with freezing rain in the forecast and high winds that have cancelled the ferry from Digby to Saint John. I am glad that I got in a great seafood meal before leaving tomorrow. The trip home will be 500 km longer.

You're not alone LP. The only two sports I watch are the NFL (mostly Bears) and golf.

... Just listened to Brian the other night telling a joke that hit waaaaaay to close to home for most of us here. Said he went to his new DR and told him about a spot just above his right knee. About the size of his fist. Not quite up on the Quad but not on the knee either. But the size is correct, about the size of a fist. That is the only spot on his body that doesn't hurt and can he make the rest of his body feel like that one spot.

I will say this, Heron Creek Golf Club in North Port, FL is an outstanding practice facility. They have a great range, short iron range, 3 chipping greens with bunkers and practice greens.  If I was relocating, for $700 for a practice membership I would be all over this. For a day it was $30, but I feel I got my money’s worth.

Don't know what American TV is like, but here in Australia its all about the presenter, golf is the worst sport on TV, show nothing of interest in the game.

... Oh boy a fellow glutton for punishment. I got the Sunday Ticket so I could watch the Bears here in Phoenix. I really can't stand Poles. I get trading Mack and his contract, even if nobody liked it but trading Quinn and Smith was a real slap in the fans face. Couple players exit interview said Poles traded away their best defensive players but much worse they were the team leaders and it left a HUGE void. They didn't win another game after Smith was traded. And it's not like Chicago loves their linebackers!   If he lets Montgomery go I hope the city revolts.
