That is kind of where I am, it is gone and not coming back. Soon to be 65 and married for 45 yrs so the wife knows I am here most of the time but could really be just as happy if I were not imo. 

The hair was nice up until I started on the BP meds, now maybe it was just going to happen anyway as my Grandfather had the same head that I have now. But it did seem to excelerate on the meds. Oh well, not that big a problem in the grand scheme of things.

It is not as bleak as I made it sound, those that have been married a long time and are in this age group more than likely understand my point. There are always those lucky folks that somehow stay very close, it must be preordained.

Ha, it's just my wife and I here in Bamaland. Family all out west. We just tell each other.....go

Regarding BP meds and hair loss. Isn’t it only beta-blockers that have that side effect?

 

*just Googled. Looks like ace inhibitors do as well. So damn, lower the BP or keep the hair… 🤔 haha

This does not work for everyone I realize, but I shaved the dome at just over 40. Giving a hi pressure presentation in a room with an 80” (!!!) TV and I was on the TV. Made the mistake of glancing there, saw what looked like 78” of the 80” filled with my shiny and expanding forehead. 👎🏻

 

Went to the barber that evening and had it buzzed off. Ordered some Oster clippers and keep it tight once a week. I’ve never shaved it with a blade, the clippers with the ceramic blade and the guard pulled all the way back is close enough for me.

Yeah that is apples and elephants to being a super at a 54 hole equity club. Those jobs are very hard.

I agree that once it’s going and the forehead is a 5head and growing, the tight buzz is the best look.

My all time favorite music video. 27:52 of heaven on earth. A masterful live performance

of a great masterpiece. I think I must have watched it at least 200 times in the 8 years

since it was recorded in Warsaw, Poland in October of 2015. She was just 22 years old

at the time.

 

Anyone who thinks young people are spoiled and stupid and coddled are looking at the

wrong young people. This takes years and years of dedication and hard work to play at

this level......and in front of a crowd like this. But it's more than that. She will take you on

the journey with her. She has the wow factor, the it factor; charisma, whatever you want

to call it.

The people I hear saying that are either the git off my lawn types who haven’t encountered a young person in 25 years, or worse, someone who doesn’t have kids, has no exposure, and no basis to form an opinion. I have gotten sideways with a very dear friend on this topic….and it makes me crazy.

I'm one of the lucky ones ! I have a granddaughter that keeps me grounded

and somewhat aware ofwhat young folks are doing. She and her friends

will out drive the old man now. Funny thing is that 4 of them started playing golf

when they were 11 and 12. They all became very good and two were offered golf

scholarships,and turned it down. None of them play golf at college. They will get together and join me once or twice a month in the summer, but they all chose not to pursue golf.  Three of them have set goals of Doctor status and the 4th is going to Law School. Great, sharp. smart clean cut youngsters. I was always the one to call

if they had a problem or had too much to drink.  I was a safe ride to their house with no questions or judgement . Great young kids.

I'll never stay quiet when it comes to the poison doctors push.😅 Doctors are great if you need something fixed but I will never listen to them for general wellness advice.

I take 2 drugs off label myself to battle hair loss. Oral Minoxidil and oral Finasteride. The

first is a blood pressure med and the 2nd is a prostate med. My dermatologist prescribes

them for me "off label". They are effective in very small doses compared to the dosage

needed for their originally intended use. In my case, with the small dose I take, I have

no side effects. I wish I had started taking them sooner.

 

 

Wegovy isn't off label for weight loss, it's for weight loss specifically. But ... it's the same, exact drug as Ozempic ... which is for diabetes ....

I removed my gall bladder once but there was nothing wrong with it so I put it back in.😅
