Nice boat !

Traditional X braces with, tone bars, fingers, and upper transverse. Sides and back are solid, with laminate top linings. Back braces are tall but thin. But I’m not really into the “live back” school.

It's funny - I'll mess around with literally everything in my bag (god knows how many combinations of shafts, grips, heads and overall setups I'll futzed around with over the years) but one thing that's been pretty constant has been my Newport. Or, I guess moreso, the same blade style. My first "nice" putter was my old Ping Anser 2 I've had - and still have! - since the early 90s. Got an Odyssey of the same style in the mid 90s then finally my first Scotty Newport sometime in the early 00s. Held on to that one for a long time till, in a moment of weakness, tried out a Phantom X 8.0 (I think) for a few months in like 2019. 

 

Then just went back to a Scotty Newport; same one that's still in the bag. Prolly the last putter I'll ever buy. All of 5 putters over 35 years, 4 of which were more or less the same? Yeah, I'm good.

They are def chunkier! And about 5° of loft difference. My “dailys” are the 620 CBs. I have mentioned it a couple times that the ‘players CB’ has always been the type of iron that naturally appeals to me. 1st set of irons were the Mizzy TZOID PROs. Guy at the shop tried to (and rightfully so) put me in PING ISI irons. But man, they were hideous to me and all the offset just does not appeal to me.

Would like to see a Ravens v Lions Superbowl myself but I'm not hating on KC or TS.

I am hating on the 9ers but it's just sports hate and not real hate.

I’ve actually heard about it. Zero interest so didn’t pay much attention and didn’t read the info in the link I posted either (😂) But essentially some sort of trivia game based on baseball history (I think) haha

Sitting here watching the final round of the Farmer's. Another now less rare Saturday finish.

 

Raining here so stuck indoors. 

 

Lots of new names on the leaderboard.

 

Good players just keep coming through the pipeline.

Watching as well. The Saturday finish is definitely taking some time to get used to. I know WRXers like to bag on Torrey saying it’s a blah course and only hyped bcs of the scenery. But as you’ve prob noticed, I’m a huge fan of gorgeous ocean scenery. So I really enjoy it.

I regret now that I never did play it when I was living in San Diego County. Could have played

for cheap but I didn't know it. My stepson and I mainly played the public courses in North

County, blissfully ignorant that we could have driven a few miles south and played Torrey.
