Since you from NoCal you ever heard these guys?

This chili powder is insane good we use like on chicken thighs. Is like $12 but worth it. Is funny cause red pepper is like the 4th ingredient.

The Safeway I frequent has the whole array of that brand and two others. That one is my fav! (And yes, priciest) 👍🏼😊

Ya one time I bought this other kind and wife almost punched me in the nose 🤣

I like, “what?”, she like, “you’ll see” and…the other kind sucked, like night and day!

Just goes to show how much the main ingredient is often just a template for the seasoning,

You guys are nailing exactly what I was fishing for (no pun intended).

To me at least, I don't have Stu's chops when it comes to lead tape.  How much to apply, where it should go... the little bit of experimenting I've done was always a crap shoot.  Wish I had a thimble full of what he can do in his sleep on this front.

BUT - I did find that there's some mythical combo of weight and feel in one club that's totally opposite of the next.  And at least in my case, a lot of it seems to boil down to the shaft.  As we all know, some launch it lower and others, higher.  If the assumption is we're good up and down the bag except for one club - and if the assumption is the swing has been revisited to ridiculous levels...  then to your point... why keep banging your head against the wall expecting something is going to change?  One club is acting different would seem to suggest the issue is right there, no?

Confess to making a recent $600 mistake.  My driver was getting some years on it.  Went to a fitter.  I like the guy.   Trusted what he showed me.  Took the plunge.   Now, $600 later, I get to either mutilate that $600 investment experimenting with shaft replacements to get it dialed-in, or just dump it for what I can get for it and swing the old standby that was and still is actually fine to begin with.

Oh I can hit the new one.  And she may have gained me a good ten yards.  But man they are some really low bullets when it comes to trajectory.

Believe this or not I do not have as much lead in the bag as I used to. I only have it on 3 clubs. The 56 wedge the 7 wood and the putter. The TMs seem to balance ok without it. I did not build those clubs but the shafts have been pured and seem fine. Plus these days I have learned to swing a lighter club. Something else too since I do not pull the club back nearly as far as I used to I do not need the weight to feel it in the back swing. It has been hard changing my swing and equipment the last couple of years. I am slowly getting used to it and it is starting to come to fruition.

Club Fitters are like mechanics, some can fix your problem and some can't.  Either way, they take your money.

I'd start by using some foot spray on the club face and see if you're hitting it out of the middle of the face. If so, I'd go back to the fitter and see if he can "set up" the club the way he envisioned when he fit you. If he built it for you or had it built off-site and shipped, people make mistakes in shaft stiffness, head loft, swing weight, etc.

This is the main reason I leave the facility with the exact club and shaft I hit during the session. It may not be a virgin or say demo somewhere, but those trivialities seem to mean a lot more to some folks than to me.

Do you still have your old driver?? Do you still it it as well as you did before the new one arrived??

I can tell you this on shafts. Hardly ever do 2 match even in the same line out of the box. Long time ago I had a Hogan CSS driver I could bomb. It had a NVS 65 s in it from the factory. Now at the time I was doing R&D for Championship Golf in Garden City SC. They were also a Wishon dealer. I think it was the 565 MC driver they came out with. I decided to go with the same NVS shaft. We went through 15 brand new ones and never could match the frequency in my Hogan Driver. We gave up and went to my previous go to shaft which was the UST Pro Force Gold 65 stiff. It worked well in the Wishon. Never believe a shaft label or the markings on a shaft. I have seen brand new out of the box labeled like regular be on opposite sides of the spectrum as far as stiffness. That goes for steel as well as graphite. Back in the day Eli Callaway was a genius and he knew guys were getting too stiff shafts from what they needed. The RCH line of shafts were dialed down from the markings deliberately. Stiffs were marked regular and such. Just like @chisag mentioned the other week they did reverse loft jacking as in a marked 9* would be 10.5* when you checked it. Also this makes a big difference shaft kick and where it occurs on a shaft. Again I have seen brand new shafts uncut out of the box marked the same and the kick points be off from 1/32 to 1/8 of an inch. Any fitter in general worth his salt will have a frequency matching machine and use it. A lot of it also has to do on the final assembled product of shaft tipping. I learned a lot on this subject watching both of my buds (who are now retired) and reading a lot from Tom Wishon. He used to be a big contributor here on WRX until the know it all Richard Noggins started arguing and bashing him. And as always what works for me may or may not work for you or anyone else.

Like I was talking about my Callaway driver earlier. I had traded for it with the intention of pulling the shaft and putting in my Honma driver. of course I hit it to see how it works. I hit it so good and was impressed that I used that driver and like I said I have never checked the shaft or the loft or angle. Some things on my stuff I do not want to know

It’s actually widely disputed where it originated. We can b sure though that it wasn’t in the south. Because it’s not deep friend and dipped in mayo!

🤣

Oh I’m sure.   Probably a New York marketing firm that came up with it. So they could sell it to southern hipsters 🤣

Years ago would frequent this little middle eastern fast food place in SoCal. They served up falafels.

Had never heard of them before going to that place in the early 70s. Man, those things were so good.

One day we were curious what the "meat" in them was so we asked the guy and he showed us. The

little meatball things were made from garbanzo beans (chick peas to some). So good.

Those falafels were served up in pita pocket bread (which was new to us at the time) with those

"meatballs" and some sort of cabbage and some other vegetables and a sesame type sauce.

We got addicted to that little place. Something different.😃

Our daughter took us to a pita place in Old Town Scottsdale when they lived there that had really good falafel. The lemon vinaigrette had some little black seeds or something in it that was delicious. Not sure if it is still there but maybe Solo knows it.
