I embrace stereotypes. It’s why I live on a bluff overlooking the Pacific with movie stars on both sides of me only separated by palm trees 🌴 And obv my political views are a foregone conclusion. This is my box 📦 and I fit neatly into it. Makes ppl feel comfortable 😊

Close was $20 with tip. Decent diner burger 🍔, nothing to write home about.

I remember getting like a slice or pizza and a can of RC for like 50 cents in middle school!

Looked like hydroponic tomatoes. You need to come to my garden for some heirlooms. Just sayin’

Clearly this was breaking news, as WRX chose to post it twice.

Sometimes I’m challenged by the “reply” button where nothing happens.  It’s sort of like that elevator button where if you keep punching it things will eventually happen right?

🤣🤣🤣 case of the Mondays I can sense.  It seems to be going around.  Positive thoughts help. Remember kids. Comfortable is a state of sloth. It’s not a good thing.   Meaning isn’t in comfort.  It’s at the end of struggle.     Of course I’m  being silly.  🙃.  Leg pullig is a Monday thing it seems.  Just be careful of what projects form the box.  The bars skew all messages. Better put some windows in.

Creed put out a song years ago about self induced boxism.  Called “ my own prison “.

Cause in a hundy years, we will be launching spacecraft

from the moon 🌖!

Less gravity and no atmosphere to escape.

Many of the resources are potentially there for it to make sense but the tech hasn’t caught up for the economics to work yet.

Guess what happens after that? ; )

I meant question about why musk and Amazon man ( Bezos) are leading the way instead of the government program.  What do they know that musk doesn’t.  Or what does he know that they don’t.  They’d never allow it to be privately held if they thought it was feasible.

Youre asking why a private enterprise can more efficient use of resources than

a government entity?!

You need only look at the former Soviet Union for the answer ; )

Our government and educational institutions can function well as tech incubators. But they are out of their element transition into commercialization on a great scale

The government can eventually…govern space exploration and collect its due on the business of space. But you gotta let the private sector seek out and run with where there’s money to actually be made

Points taken. You got me there. Both of you. !

I guess I just wonder why the government is ok taking the backseat ?  Is it a “ let them lift and we will swoop in at the Last minute and steal it “ ploy ?  Most space exploration was before i was born. So you have to understand my context. It’s all doubtful to me because the only real memory I have of space exploration was watching the challenger explode live on tv in class. People my age doubt all of it , and I think it’s because we didn’t witness any of it in real time. If that makes sense?  Not taking conspiracy theory. Talking disconnect.

I imagine it is just not technically possible yet, but I would think Musky and crew would figure out a way to bring some of that stuff down. It has to be loaded with precious metals and such is it not? I realize it is traveling very fast but once you are in orbit would that not equal out so you could catch it?

I looked for the Star trek planet eater but could not find it..

I had a college physics professor who spent several lectures on how they did it with calculus & slide rulers. Quite fascinating and has me in camp they absolutely did it. I follow all the crazy & weird space stuff, enjoy it, not sure i believe any of it and on the whole, lots of questions are raised, but  pretty sure we went to the moon.

Right. I’m not saying we didn’t.  I’m just saying there’s a disconnect.  By the time we came along it was just 5/6 pages in a history book. And thats it. We didn’t have YouTube etc. it was literally just this far off thing that they said happened.  Very little time spent on it. Fast forward to the 90s.  We see the internet. We see cell phones. Countless other tech things. Faster and faster. And i distinctly remember thinking “ how the blank did they do that with 60s tech when we compare known 60s tech to today , and yet we’re not exploring it now “?  Sorry. It’s hard to describe. Maybe it’s just me.  It just is categorized like a lost civilization in my mind.  I see the evidence.  It’s interesting. But it doesn’t click as real-real  if I’m being honest.
