Pretty sure it’s spelled correctly 🤣. But I won’t stake my life on it.  I don’t worry too much about proper structure. Around here the tourons are always in a hurry and want to crowd someone. Had a touron lady crowding me in Kroger last summer. I said something to her about it. She said the canned lame tourist excuse. Well we are here on vacation and in a hurry. I told her my canned answer. Well I live here and retired and am not in a hurry. I also gave her 2 pieces of advice. Maybe plan the vacation better or vacation closer to home next year

I act like I would like someone else to act. Seems like a fairly basic concept to me. But obviously not for a lot of ppl.

A few years back I went into my local Home Depot to get some bracket items. I went to the checkout and the lady told me that I needed to go back and see if there was one with the code. I told her in front of everyone there BS it ain't my job. I walked out left the stuff sitting right there and promptly went up to Lowes up the road. No problem at all there. The same brackets were there and properly coded.

You and me both. A few years back the wife and I stopped by Wendy's and they had these new fangled drink machines. We were trying to figure them out. This young lady I would say about 10 or so asked very politely "sir do you guys need some help?" I told her sure do. She showed us how to work them. I thanked her and saw her Dad and complimented him on his polite daughter. He said do not feel bad she had to show us how to use it too. I ended up as we were leaving helping an older than us couple how to work it. The lady complimented me and said "you are so smart" I told her no mam a 10 year old had to show me

Yep the old Golden Rule--- Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. My Grannie and my Old Man drummed it into me. Not to violate policy I assume you know where it is also written and who said it first

I live and try to conduct myself to what I call the John Wayne Code. I saw it in the movie The Shootist many years ago. Actually before I ever saw the movie I conducted my life basically like that

I won't be wronged

I won't be insulted

I won't be laid a hand upon

I don't do those things to others

I require the same from them

 

I am more than fine with it as long as someone does not push my buttons. I have learned through age and pain my BS meter pegs lower than ever these days

I go by the rules of my fictional childhood hero too. The Cisco Kid. "Seeker of truth, protector of the weak, avenger of evil." 😀. Maybe because I was the oldest of 4 sibs?

Oh now he may have.  🤣.  And I invite  him to admonish me in the most proper way.  ( really ).  If there’s a history behind that term and why it’s unacceptable , I’m all ears !

Well. I can beat that. But i probably shouldn’t tell it on myself.  It was many moons ago , before the long  journey down the gilded path  to adulthood.  
 

Not enough mangos squashed is part  of the issue. 🤣 Peer pressure is a great thing .  And it should be brought back loudly , in my opinion.     I kid the dregs , I kid.
