Exactly, I been very salt conscious for years, you really notice how much salt is added to basically everything you don’t make yourself. 
 

But I just got into snacking up Tostitos! 🤣 But no more! Gonna just have oatmeal or some no salt peanut butter on rye for snacks again.

Very difficult to eat out and avoid an abundance of salt & butter. Avg person so into it restaurant chef say “start w/a little butter” and throw a whole cube 🧈 in! 😬 

“a little salt” they put so much on, the food turns white! 😂 They don’t, n avg consumer thinks it’s bland. 
 

I honestly can’t remember the last time I added salt to my food at any restaurant 🤔

What's weird is I hadn't been in a fast food joint for a couple years and a while back I stopped at a MacDonald's and got a double quarter cheese and fries. Tasted like crap and I used to love those things.

I consume butter & salt in moderation, my big flag diet wise is vegetable oil. Aside from pure olive oil, that stuff very damaging to health (it's everywhere too & a lot of the diabetes in USA can be linked directly to it) and I'm at point where i'll skip wife's breaded chicken because she fries it in that garbage. I've reduced on red meat & pork, if i do fast food,the grease will matter and high processed snack stuff and factory food has gotten rationed out quite a bit.

Food is a big thing in our household. 
 

Life long diabetic here so I’m reasonably careful about what I eat. I’ve got a lot of experience and world class technology in my insulin pump, so that gives me a lot more flexibility in what I eat, but having been diagnosed in 1980 means I have habits. 
 

One of my sons is an aspiring chef. He loves everything about it and I love encouraging him. Not everything he makes is made with health in mind 😂 but that is ok we offset it elsewhere 

 

My son #2 is a pretty high level HS wrestler so he is very aware of what happens when he puts different things in his body. We are managing his weight down just a bit between now and the end of June for a big event. After that event he won’t think about his weight until after Thanksgiving. Whatever he weighs, he weighs and he will compete there. Screw the Super 32 and their moneygrab registration, not even going to attempt it this year. 
 

We eat a lot of fish, watch the salt within reason, and limit sugar intake. Lots of eggs too. Occasional fried food, but only occasional. Beef doesn’t agree with me so if I want a burger, I grill Impossible Burgers. Don’t knock it till you’ve tried it — I like them!

 

I like Cokes and I like Oreos, so I won’t keep either in the house because I lack self control. I love making barbecue but have slowed that down the last couple years. A huge pulled pork shoulder feast is awesome, but there’s no way to justify that it is good for you to eat that. We don’t touch fast food, ever. Somehow Chik fil a cultivated this perception that it is “healthy” or at least “healthyER.” The public is both gullible and ignorant is all I can say about that.

The only things I routinely add table salt to are

 

- chip

- corn on cobb(yes, with butter)

- popcorn

- French fries

Popcorn.   The reason I still enjoy going to the movie theater.

Tortilla absolutely. Ideally sprinkled with some lime juice. Yum. (But off my diet list right now)

New irons are tempting me. No surprise, my i210’s might be 4 years or more old. Positively ancient in the Tape golf bags collection.   And I still love them. 
 

But….

 

Full admission, which might get me drummed out of the Grill, maybe even GWRX. I’m considering going to regular steel shafts. Never had anything other than S300 or XS in my bags.  
 

Bilateral shoulder surgery, age, whine, whine, whine……

No shame there.  I bought a 7 wood with and graphite R shaft and love the thing, can hit it 205-220 sky high from off the deck.

No shame in my game. 45 gram shafts in 5w, 7w, 9w, and 6h. 3w not allowed back in the bag, or even in the same room where my bag is. Longest iron is 7i.

My son was visiting yesterday and the topic of SM came up. Initially he mentioned that when he see’s a group of teenagers sitting together at a table, they will all be staring at their phones the entire time 😢 He’s only 25 and sees this a a problem. 

He then said something I wasn’t aware of that both surprised me and didn’t. In order to post on Instagram you must have the microphone enabled. It’s obvious why and yikes! 😳

I made something similar to what I ate at the Japanese high school cafeteria.  White meat ground chicken, didn't need to brine or marinate, just add some soy sauce, ground ginger, cooking alcohol, and a bit of sugar.
