You know I avoided it for a couple of years figuring it was just hype and the cost, started shopping on ebay and found the 1st one (505xx) for $200 and it has been a chase ever since. I think for all 3 I have in bag I have $800 in them, not cheap but it has been worth it to see the occasional drive out to 260 (with wind help) average is maybe 220-230 but that is a lot longer than I was before on average with any GD shaft and I tried a lot of them down to 50 gram weight, tried a 45 gram something to go reat light and Senior flex trying to duplicate the AF idea and it was terrible. 

 

In the 3 wood I can now hit it 200 yds with a so so strike and the darn 7 wood is almost the same or longer for some weird reason. Might be the shorter shaft, but i play my FW's 1" over standard length.

 

I am happy with the AF405 in the driver, I wanted a 405x but couldn't find one for a decent price. Just as long as I don't lurch at it it just goes, you can swing hard but it has to be a smooth transition or strange things happen. 

The X wave appears to be the new kid on the block, but they are impossible to find for less than $500 and I don't know if they have the same type of tech the Autoflex have. The guys in that forum are all swinging 110 up (on average) so nothing I can relate too.

In other golf related news, the APEX TCB irons came in but they were .50" too short on the build so I sent them back today and reordered. Then I am done hoing for the rest of the year... I was going to go JDM and get either the Proto Concept C01 TB ic or Miura KM 700 but came to my senses and saved $1,000.

Those clubs are beautiful, but at $350-$400 per stick with Steelfibers I woke up and realized I can shoot the same numbers for a lot less.  Of course the Mizuno's have been real good since I went shopping, but that is normal and the way it always is.

To be honest what scares me is they will release the Japanese X forged here is a couple days and the the Satin TCB right after. But at least if they did Callaway would give me 100% credit back to use on them. 

 

The rest of them don't bother me much like Titleist or TM or Cobra. Heck If I can resist the JDM stuff all the rest is meh.

Spending a couple of days in Cleveland, wow what a sad place. I guess it is a nice place to leave....pretty amazing for a Major City there are very few people.
