OMG - spitting coffee is usually just an expression - not this morning! 

 

Me and the youngest dog up at 5:30 per usual.  The wife and the older dog (who is a 9 year old teenager) still snoozing away.  I enjoy this quiet time on weekends but I'm actually now anxious for her to get up and see this!

Wish I had what I'm pretty sure are your "particular set of skills" - but was feeling a little bluesy yesterday morning and decided in my own limited "car guy wannabe" way to get out there in the 89 degrees and 90% humidity and get the hard top off my Jeep and the slant back back soft top on for the rest of the summer/fall.  Being older than you, several breaks and three changes of soaking wet clothes later and . . . . . ready for the "mall", lol.  

 

Been a few days of yard work, this and that - as Barney Fife would say, "therapetic".  Rewarding myself by saying "yes" to an invitation for 18 holes of golf this morning from a couple of friends - we've stayed away from the course for a couple of days.

Two of the best guitar players to ever walk the face of the earth. I loved Hendrix but Jimi, bow down. Glen Campbell did stuff on a 12 string most couldn't do on a 6.

We always had cats growing up and our property bordered a huge acreage of woodlands. 
 

Was very cool to see them stalking critters in the distance. A bit sad when they proudly deposited a freshly killed chipmunk outside the side door but it was their way of saying…thanks for the yummy canned food, here’s some food for you lol

Never figured out back when I was a kid why our cat decided one time to kill and bring back the biggest frog I'd ever seen - maybe it simply made the mistake of being found in our yard.

 

As for WWE, our big and lovable Golden Retriever stepped on my wife's foot one time, the wife let out a yelp of pain and from across the basement my daughter's cat came flying in and delivered an amazing array of Bruce Lee like punches to the dog - never seen paws fly that fast - the dog just kind of stood there and took it, lol, he already felt guilty enough.  Had never seen a cat defend a family member before - but she was one that if someone was sick, she'd be by laying by their side until they felt better, etc.

A few times a year we have big debris pick ups. Ya know, on ur regular garbage day ya can pile up the big stuff that doesn’t fit in the “cans”. 
 

Always see people drive around the day before and look at the piles and take what they think they can re-sell or use. 
Well we had one today and I saw the most ppl I’ve ever seen coming by and checking out the piles yesterday. It was noticeably more than I’ve ever seen. 
 

I told my GF, dang, times must be really tough 🙁

I think we can agree from an SES perspective the golf community tends to be outside the general situation, but living in a small town with little industry, it is super apparent.  Things are not good at all for the vast majority of the population, and I don't see it getting better anytime soon.  It's a shame really, and for fear of being handed the "ban hammer," I will leave it to the readers imagination.

Should go read about the “ repeat of the 80s farm crisis “.  Which is now. You know. The stuff Melloncamp (sic?) and Steve Earle   wrote about.  And the cause is same exact one.  Corporate greed.  Monopoly.  
 

Things are bad below the upper middle line.  And it’s been that way since late 2019.

I don't want to go too far down this rabbit hole but I guess I'm not seeing it around here. Everybody seems to do what they want to do and go where they want to go. Houses stay on the market for about 48 hours and all the businesses i sell to are crazy busy. And my 401K is doing great!😁

I saw an OG one yesterday. Man you forget just how incredible that car was. Peak Honda, engineers at the top of their game. The car is also tiny now by comparison….looks like it is knee-high, and narrow. 
 

Owner was cool, said it’s his daily driver, has a beater for winter. Sweet.

The biggest trend Walmart is seeing is high income folks are shopping there like never before. Cash flow rich vs asset rich is as big a divide as any other earning bracket in my county. Been that way for my entire life too.
