So my Acura EV has been in the shop going on 3 and a half weeks.

Got a ‘service driver assist system’ message and haven’t seen ‘er since! Lol

They replaced a $2,200 part that didn’t fix it and then another part that supposedly was “fried” on arrival and a replacement for the replacement was ordered! 🤪

Almost certain I will be invoking the ‘lemon 🍋 law’ fairly soon. Which will be a full refund of all monthly payments made & down payment.

That sucks. Bummer man. 30 days out of service or 4 unsuccessful attempts to repair the same issue….sounds like you are coming up on that. Hope the dealer put you in a decent loaner while yours is down.

It’s also 2 attempts to repair a “serious safety defect”. Certain I’ve already met that requirement. 
 

*I have a nice enough A-Spec Integra that at this point feels more like my car than my car! Haha

What remains to be seen is if Acura will b cool and do the right thing, or if I’ll have to get legal representation. Obvi hopefully the former

Yup. My experience (not with Acura) is it’s very important to be on good terms with the dealer. If your dealer goes to bat for you with Acura N.A. it’s highly likely you won’t have to lawyer up. 
 

Acura does not want dealers pissed off any more than the dealer wants you pissed off.

I was actually split between Illinois n Indiana. Really wanted to still b able to say I live in Danville.
Illinois was the leader in the club house (mainly to b close to you 😊), but the far better half wanted Indiana. We all know how that goes. ‘Yes dear’ 😁

 

So far loving it! U know what they say about Indiana. Come for the low cost of living, stay for the weather!!

I have to say I love CA.  It’s so expensive bc everyone wants to live there.  Heck yeah I want to live there.  I won’t, but I am so envious of people with any marketable skill who live there.  As long as it’s along the coast.

Exactly. It’s expensive because it is desirable. Cali is awesome and the jabs about housing cost and veiled politics are tired.

 

Shocking I know, it costs more to live in San Diego than say….Brownsville PA. You don’t say!

Oh lord.  I have nightmares about working on one of those. Truth be told it was the owners inability to understand that it wasn’t 1965 anymore that was the issue.  But you can imagine the personality type that chooses a corvair isn’t exactly the free spender guy 🤣. 
 

Ralph Nader was both correct and unfairly picked on the corvair in that book unsafe at any speed.  He was correct. But heck it was true of almost any less than full-size car of the time. Having a wreck in a classic mustang is also a feat of mine. Super unsafe.  Same for nova. Camaro. Firebird. Falcon . Cuda challenger etc etc.

Are you in witness protection program ?  My wife has a friend who we suspect is. Lovely lady. Scared of everything. And has no past. She just appeared here 10 years ago .  Otherwise. Why just appear in Indiana of all places. Nobody vacations in , Indiana.
