Well, a critter from California bought the house next door for $1.1 million and is tearing the guts out of it.

 

Saw this a few minutes ago. Yeah, I’m #1 for inflation!

Some of you might enjoy this pod cast with Joel Dahmen’s caddie Geno Bonnalie. They both grew up here in the Lewis Clark valley. They are one of the more colorful player/caddie teams on tour. I don’t know them personally but my brother’s wife is friends with Geno’s family and we played golf with Geno’s dad this summer. Geno gives a tour of his very humble trailer where he and his wife and 2 kids live and tells some good tales from life on the PGA Tour.

 

 I have watched as his new house is taking shape across the Snake River on the Idaho side from my house in Clarkston, Wa. It will be a nice and well deserved step up for him. Nice to see late bloomer Joel playing well after surviving cancer and representing our LC valley.

Italian bread with EVOO and spices and lots of crushed garlic.

 

Italian salad with lettuce and rosa di gorizia lettuce, red onion, gorgonzola cheese, bacon and parmesan.

 

Lasagne! Note the steam coming off . . .

 

Carry over martinis from happy hour and a Zinfandel to top it off.

He’s one of the straightest and best ball strikers with irons and fairway woods/hybrids. It’s amazing to witness in person. Just stunning.

It's not the temperature Big Stu, it's the cooking process he uses in the video. You can have it any temp you want you just need to follow his numerous steps in cooking a nice piece of beef for it to turn out its' juicy best. Following his technique you can have a juicy steak even with only a little pink in the middle.  

 

Anybody SouVide?  I like watching these videos.  I posted this one before. Cheap Chuck roast (there is no such thing right now)  that turned out fork tender. Made an Au Jus with the red wine and beef broth drippings from the zip lock and had some pretty good French Dip sandwich leftovers.

Flatware and china as always on point. Food looks exquisite once again.  What no whipping off of the splatter on the pasta bowl prior to photography?  For shame.  😄

 

Martini's and then one of the heaviest of reds out there you say?  This chef can handle it.
