... Well said, but I don't think it is THE society boat that is causing the problems, it is TWO society boats drifting farther and farther apart as they both drift from the shore. I remember thinking how radical it was for religious factions to show up at the radio station and burn Beatles LP's because John Lennon "bragged" the Beatles were bigger than Jesus. Of course he didn't, he lamented that fact. But extremes rarely take the time to actually listen outside their bubble. Fast forward to some of Rap today that is just out right raw porn and glorifies crime. Oh my did the pendulum swing waaay too far in the opposite direction. 

... I believe success always lies in the middle and while leaning to one side or the other is very healthy although some listing may occur, going to the extremes of either side will eventually capsize the boat. I find a place like the Grill to be an oasis from the extremes where camaraderie over golf, food, music, nostalgia and more has a warm and welcoming feeling. So like the legendary band The Hues Corporation proclaimed ... Don't Rock The Boat, Don't Tip The Boat Over seems like an excellent idea.

Around my course you have the Mens groups that cheat play for a pot and carry inflated handicaps. Stu, right there with you.  Like to play 9 holes as a single, play 2 balls and get 18 holes worth of swings inside of 2 hours.  Just enjoy hitting shots on the course.  Doesn't really matter what I score.

 

Have peripheral neuropathy so have permanent mobility and balance issues.  Hard for me to play 18 holes stamina wise anymore.

 

As long as I hit one solid tee shot, one solid iron shot, and hole a putt of 10' or longer I am a happy camper.  Just glad to be still swinging.

So I stopped by the Grille for breakfast. (delicious as usual)  I had to laugh when I walked by the restroom door. I think Cyndy has taken to doing the signage again. Gus saw me smirking and said, "I think I can fix that" and winked. Might want to stay out of there for awhile.

Religion is man-made, that's why the word religion doesn't work. Bible is God made (I hope I get booted off, what better reason?) 😊 So God hasn't changed, just 'religion', the man-made stuff. I love being a conservative born again Christian, Republican, Baptist who also played in rock bands as a teen and still likes to crank up his fender amp with the fuzz on and the gain topped out, you know why? they have no category or predetermined box to put me in, and I like to think for myself, quite unique nowadays, make people think with their minds and hearts before they do something, and see if it's right according to the unchangeable word and before anybody throws up the pathetic excuse that that's a matter of interpretation, just cut the malarkey  🤣 If you can read English you can understand what's being said, funny how no one ever says 'well, porn is just a matter of interpretation', hahahaha, ah you guys would get sick of me if you didn't love me so much, right tol? anyway, I'll probably get thrown in the clink for a while for standing up for the Lord so, so be it...

.... Haha that is just priceless! I am filing the final papers for my 2nd divorce this week. First didn't count imo as we were very young and the Honey Bear insisted we move back to Philly after being in Chicago 9 months. That was the tip of the iceberg. So married less than a year. 

... Married 38 years and she always said we would move someplace warm when everyone was gone. I clearly had seasonal affective disorder in Chicago after growing up in the South. 30 days without sunshine kills your soul. Her entire family was in Chicago. One by one they all left. Mother passed away 15 years ago, Dad 3 years ago. Brother moved to Cave Creek (Phoenix) sister to LA and brother to Boise. Time to leave the frozen tundra... yeah!!! Came out here, found a home and she tells me she isn't leaving Chicago. What?!? Lived there her entire 62 years and she doesn't want to leave. Being closer to family in Cave Creek and LA didn't seem to matter anymore. Still kinda reeling as it was unexpected but life goes on ...

I divorced 49 years ago and whilst it is obvious it is not going to work it is still not an easy thing to do. If you could tell untruths about it she did and that is not me. The first time I set eyes in my wife that was it, I was gone, love at first sight. Never changed in all this time.

So Sunday morning I went out to dad's shopartment to check on him and the mini split was off and the place getting cold. All the breakers looked fine. I tried turning on the 2 electric wall heaters one in the bath and one in the bedroom and they would not come on.  We then noticed that our oven would not heat. Gas furnace worked and all the lights. Called the electrician that did the work on dad's place and he said it sounded like a power company problem and that one of the two phases was probably out.  Went through the whole phone tree process and finally got to talk to someone and was happy to have someone here in an hour.  He said yes the meter was out and hooked up a temporahry transformer that made it work. 

 

They came back today with a whole crew and equipment to look underground and found the short circuit. They had to call the gas company to fix a leak in the gas line caused by the wire that arced.  I did not know they put the gas and electricity in the same trench. All fixed and spliced and we are "cooking with gas."  (until the governor deems it illegal) Insert disgusted emoji.

They love making things illegal, some of our states are going to make everything run by petrol illegal, including lawn mowers. Electric cars are being pushed as the new way, but when they are purchased there is almost nowhere to recharge them, when you find a charging station you can be in a 10hr queue, and where do you recharge if you live in a high rise unit. There have been pictures in the paper of the lengths people are going to when they charge, cables across the pavement etc. we also lose power when they work on driveways, the cables go the length of the street underground as well as overhead but underground they are not very deep so the diggers just cut them in half, it would be lovely if those making the decisions were half awake when they make them.

So I picked up my clubs and was impressed with the guys work.  Took time to go over everything he did, that we discussed yesterday.   So I even had him extend my putter and regroup.  If I need work done on clubs I could be tempted to come back down. Got home changed and went to the range, a lot better today, plus no heads fell off.  I got basically 1 more day before I have to start packing, pick up family coming to town for the funeral and then Saturday make the trek north to crappy NJ.  So I’m going to just have to go hit balls again, since @touchtwisted my arm and would probably lose all respect for me if I didn’t.
