I looked it up. They had to give up delivery. Investors bought them out and went out of business in 18 months.

Another group of investors bought it and changed the recipe and went out of business in 18 months

 

There might be a pattern there.

 

Someone else bought them and are back to the original recipe and you can order them online.

Just below Seal Beach was Anaheim Bay and Bolsa Chica. I wonder if that pic was of

those areas. Just above Seal Beach is Belmont Shore/Long Beach, which were rich oil

drilling areas. 

 

There was oil drilling all over SoCal way BITD so I guess it's possible there were oil

derricks practically on the beach in Seal Beach....but Seal Beach is flat. Those small

bluffs in the pic don't look like Seal Beach to me.

 

Digging deep into the memory banks is a fuzzy endeavor, lol, so......oh well. It was

long ago..............................................doesn't matter a lick now.

I didn't see that, but it would be interesting if she did.  Lots of different opinions about TS, but if she is just a nice kid who happens to be on top of the world, I'm sure she doesn't want all these shots of her up in the luxury box.   First, she's just having fun and second, I'm pretty sure she's "hep" to social media.  And I'm not, but even I can see that all this football exposure is taking a turn for the worse.

@Reasonability recently made a very thoughtful and well worded post regarding politics in the Grille. Mentioned he started the thread and the only power that afforded him was being able to close it. Said that didn’t give him any right to moderate the content. I especially appreciated it. In house moderation and the individual that started the thread acting like it was their thread was one of the main reasons I no longer associate myself with another thread. And I’m posting this bcs I was just looking at their other thread and saw that they were telling members that no more pics of a certain pop star were to be posted. Insinuating that because they started the thread, such requests were appropriate 😳 I just can’t wrap my head around that mind set. We are all different and bring our individuality to this well rounded thread. We mesh and get along swimmingly despite our differences. So thanks again Reasonability. We are fortunate to have this place and the mindset here is very much appreciated 🙏🏼

Just looked at some pics of SoCal from the 1930s. Oil Derricks galore. There were still

some around in my young years but not to this degree. Perhaps the changing tech led

to better drilling methods and reduced the need for all those single wells. Have to

confess to knowing next to nothing about oil extraction.

memories come flooding back. We used to rent surf riders there as kids, rode the waves

and then scarfed on tortilla strips with cheese and hot sauce wayyyyyy back in the day

from the snack shacks on the beach.

Definitely looks better without the derricks.  Or the dinosaurs, I'm sure.  Couldn't help having a disturbing thought, though.  If they pumped all of the oil out from under where those buildings were constructed, might that not be a bad thing?

Interesting.............the Western Interior Seaway is sitting right on top Wyoming and the

land mass next to it on the left is called Laramidia. If you walk into the water from Idaho,

Laramidia into the Western Interior Seaway about 300 miles due east, you will arrive in

the future Laramie, Wyoming.
