heard them say this morning that Facebook was 20 years old today.  Seems like 100 years. But it made me chuckle that my business is 23 years old. So I’m one of the last to start , succeed and still running a business with zero social media presence. I must be ok at it. 🤣.  It also made me think that imploding ( figuratively 😉) the big 3 wouldnt be as hard for the world to take as you’d think. 20 years is only 20 years.  This started a conversation with my son this morning on the way to school …. He said “ what would we do without Google “. I said. Oh the things you could do before Google.  Being smart and inventive was worth more then.  Now everyone has access to the info. It cheapens it . It was amazing. He pushed back. So did I and we left it at a draw when he got out. To be picked back up later 🤣.  
 

so you see. I can’t make myself want to feed the algorithm. If everyone erased their history and signed out .   The feed would stop. Until you clicked again.  It’s too much of a fake thing ( the feed )  .  I’m too curious to be in there.  My feed would be dinosaurs to politics.  I don’t need it. I feel like the negative is far greater than the $ potential.  
 

sorry , not trying to be negative.  I guess I occur have just said “😁 camera shy “ and left it at that.  

 

Our opinions differ greatly on there topic you mention and that’s all good, of course, but not going to wade into here, maybe I’ll PM ya ; )

 

But, don’t overthink it! Or think of any other people doing it

 

Just think of a specific work topic you feel passionate about and make the vid!

 

You could even complain about Google in the vid as you hammer out a custom piece. Ratings bonanza 🤣🍻

😎   I love your honesty.  No sarcasm.  I’m keenly  aware of my long winded nature.  And as any good teacher will do , you gently but directly  tell me the best path to cover up my flaws.  This would  be the only way. Because I’m absolutely prone to squirreling off into anything imaginable. Just got off the phone with a customer who bought a car that interested me.  By the end of conversation, I had him talking basketball 🤣.  I can’t imagine  why some people hate that.

If I . Did it.  It would be on a totally new venture. One where I built for myself… then flipped the project when done. for the “ show “.  Otherwise you’d have customers left and right complaining of time spent , or when spent on their cars. By just watching the background.  They’d critique me to a level that I just won’t have. I had that issue circa 2003 when I started a website with progress pics. Guys would track other cars progress and complain.  So I had to make each cars current pics  password protected to keep others out.  everybody thinks they’re #1 priority. And the truth is. Nobody is. I’m a people manager first.  Educator second. Builder third. On a good day.  People are not smart.  Reasonable or unselfish.

Speaking of dreadful, I made a 1PM appointment to see someone at my bank on Friday. A teller said she’d tell him I was there.

 

She returned to say that he’s on his way back from lunch and will there shortly. Fine. I sit down and wait for 20 minutes until he shows up from lunch.

 

He walks over, shakes my hand and says to come in his office.

 

I stood there while he walked away. He comes out of his office and asks if I’m coming in. I said no. I’m waiting for you to apologize for being late.

You know I can’t say anything in 30 seconds.   Would you believe that I’ve never been on tick tok one time ?  Occasionally I click on a link my wife sends me from Instagram.  It will let me watch something one time without the app. So you have to be ready 🤣. Or you’ll miss it. 9 out of 19 times missing it isn’t a loss. But I try to humor her. 
 

Some unsavory person dinged my truck door Friday.  I might film me fixing that whenever I get to it this week.   It’s small. But on a body line. So visible. I can get it from behind with the interior panels off.  But it’s weird. Finessing that out without making it worse is like trying to show a 25 handicap how to hit a 49 yard draw under and around a tree to a 160 pin.  🤣. I can do it. But I’m not sure if I can show someone else how.

I probably own 10k hours of that now. 🤣. I’ve filmed  or taken pics of work since the first iPhone came out. And I don’t trade phones in.  They’re in a drawer somewhere.

Yeah, I hear all that buzz in the media starting a year or so ago. I’m sure “our best ppl are on it” haha and I have full confidence in them 🙃 😁 So I focus on just blissfully (quite possibly glibly) enjoying my life. Family, friends, gym, food, sports, WRX. Save worrying about stuff I have no control over for others 😁

lol. I get why you’d say that. But I’m talking about relatively famous mainstream folks.  Who happen to be independent journalists after breaking off of their msm jobs. They have loads of content. But it’s been demonetized for several years now. They make it work via subscriptions and paywall content.  I’m taking Chanel’s with 6-7m subscribers.  Once Google bought YouTube. It went south.  You assume they’re monetized. They’re not.  Going to stop there because it will rile up somebody for sure if I go into more detail.  My point isn’t really the detail. It’s about unequal treatment on the  largest speech platforms on earth.

no worries. I’m not trying to bait anyone. Was asked and I answered with my personal convictions.  I realize a lot of folks don’t suffer from eternal thought. It’s a curse I suppose.  No lie.  Being blissfully unaware would tickle me pink.  But as the man said “ I’ve seen to much that can’t be unseen “.  I was born old.  When you’re never a kid. You surely can’t stay a kid.  Not meant as a jab.  I’m jealous in fact of some things. But it’s just the facts  of life.
