We all different and in different places in life. Not my intention to judge or put anyone down. Kinda feels I’ve done that a bit this AM (for me) If so I apologize 😇

No problems there. I never have any fragile feelings about where I’m from.

It’s like this

Nobody cares about you 🤣

I mean really, we all like “our privacy!”

Guess what? Everything you do on your phone or computer is tracked by a bunch of companies, they know it’s you no matter where you go, what you search, and what you buy.

But they don’t care about you! They just care from the standpoint of putting ads in front of you to buy things.

We all lead boring lives, who the heck cares about us? Lol

They know where I live! Omg!

Sorry, but didn’t we all used to have our names and addresses right there in the phone book back in the day? 🤣

IMG_9876.jpeg

Yup, like I’ve said previously. I’d only concern myself with it if I were living a nefarious lifestyle. Not the case.

Of course… I’m not on any of these apps.

What are you nuts?!

🤣🍻

Kinda interesting that most of the ‘nobody tellin’ me what to do’ crowd are the most vocal about not being tracked. Yet they also the most vocal about ‘crime out of control, get the thugs off the streets’. By limiting the “tracking”, who they helping??? Something to think about 🤔

You know. It’s amazing how many times I’ve thought about that.  I follow several “ car shops “ on YouTube that do the same. Half of them are amateur-ish at best.  But their followers think they’re experts. I watch it for entertainment.  And yet. They drivin new vettes.  Range rovers etc. and I’m not talking these big baller channels. I’m saying I pay attention when they’re filming and see their personal stuff in the background.  I know an old man who started one in a body shop last year. Has 217k subscribers now in a years time.

but I have conflicts of the mind . I’ve seen how the sausage is made via YouTube and Google from a perspective of a Chanel that is demonetized and censored for speech that isn’t anywhere near worse than what we type right here. Googles war on free speech keeps me from wanting to engage.

heard them say this morning that Facebook was 20 years old today.  Seems like 100 years. But it made me chuckle that my business is 23 years old. So I’m one of the last to start , succeed and still running a business with zero social media presence. I must be ok at it. 🤣.  It also made me think that imploding ( figuratively 😉) the big 3 wouldnt be as hard for the world to take as you’d think. 20 years is only 20 years.  This started a conversation with my son this morning on the way to school …. He said “ what would we do without Google “. I said. Oh the things you could do before Google.  Being smart and inventive was worth more then.  Now everyone has access to the info. It cheapens it . It was amazing. He pushed back. So did I and we left it at a draw when he got out. To be picked back up later 🤣.

so you see. I can’t make myself want to feed the algorithm. If everyone erased their history and signed out .   The feed would stop. Until you clicked again.  It’s too much of a fake thing ( the feed )  .  I’m too curious to be in there.  My feed would be dinosaurs to politics.  I don’t need it. I feel like the negative is far greater than the $ potential.

sorry , not trying to be negative.  I guess I could  have just said “😁 camera shy “ and left it at that.

My favorites on Motor Trend TV are Roadkill and Roadkill garage because that is the meatball surgery thing I used to do. Now sometimes I watch Texas Metal those trucks he does is not my style but I have great respect for his chassis fab skills. I also like to watch Roadworthy Rescues again the meatball backyard stuff I used to do. I also like to watch that guy in California Ian Rosseau because he is one heck of an inventor and metal fabricator. On U-Tube I like Bad Chad from Canada because he is also one heck of a metal fabricator. I have noticed a trailer on Motor Trend TV there is a guy in your neck of the woods fixing to have a show on where I guess they restore cars fully

Tracking isn’t the issue.  Its data. And what can be done with the data if certain things change.

If you auto dismiss everything , your thought narrative is controlled ,  just on the opposite direction.  Which is why I swim to the middle and look for myself.

True.

I keep forgetting how dreadful the real world is.

Speaking of dreadful, I made a 1PM appointment to see someone at my bank on Friday. A teller said she’d tell him I was there.

She returned to say that he’s on his way back from lunch and will there shortly. Fine. I sit down and wait for 20 minutes until he shows up from lunch.

He walks over, shakes my hand and says to come in his office.

I stood there while he walked away. He comes out of his office and asks if I’m coming in. I said no. I’m waiting for you to apologize for being late.

It was like at my bank a couple of weeks ago. I went in and told the teller I needed a cashiers check to pay my Moose club dues. I have not written a paper check for over 20 years except when I was in business. Most of my stuff I do in cash. This bimbo suggested I do a Money Order. I said ok then I will do that. She said we do not sell them. I asked well why did you mention that? She said a cashier's check would cost me $10. I told her I do not think so that I had 3 accounts at that bank plus an investment portfolio. I told her call a manager. The manager who I know well came up and said "whats happening Stu? I told her and she said WHAT??? then proceeded to chew the teller out. I am what they call a Gold customer even though I am not John D Rockefeller. Stuff like that is no charge to customers like us. The manager told the teller who said she did not know to look it is right there on the screen I was a Gold Card member. I guess this bimbo was either lazy or judgmental because I was in my typical shabby chique attire as in a golf shirt shorts and my floppy hat. I got business done and as I was leaving the Manager told me "Sorry about that Stuey" We have been with that bank which is locally owned for 20 years through like 3 mergers and acquisitions and a lot of the people like the manager have been through it all too. This was all on top of the trouble I had several months ago with the home office in Columbia SC regarding my court ordered medical account. I guess they are like everyone else have trouble finding help worth 2 hoots these days. The manager knowing all the crap I went through was apologetic and told me If I had problems I knew where she or the assistant branch manager was at and to call if I ever had any problems

I think they sell money orders at the grocery store for a couple bucks instead of $10 for a cashier's check so she thought maybe it'd save you money.  Sounds like she tripped up communicating that but seeing your account status it should have never come to that.

I canceled a savings account 14 months ago and they started charging me maintenance fees for my checking that had a lot of cash in it.  It was some glitch where the checking had to be tied to the savings account to waive the fee, but they didn't change me to another checking account status after canceling so the fee would be waived.

I was overseas and they could only reverse 3 months of that, and so they ate $36. Well, I won't cancel my account but I'm reducing my account balance there by 90%.  Thieves.

Well. I had a disagreement with him. 🤣.  But settled it easy enough with an understanding. Involved a truck I built.  And me making sure no claims were made against it as far as build credit etc. I’ll post some pics in a minute just for kicks.    He’s ok.  Always been chasing a show of some kind.

Great stuff OC

That’s a fantastic diet/menu there. For all the binge meals I post, mine is very similar to yours 25+ days a month.

Thanks, but the human condition kinda of writes itself.

Well, the good news is that meals are now much simpler to plan and given my brain that's a plus. Leaves more time to think about how long and where to nap.

All the best on your diet.
