very long story.  Short version is.  Owner and I contracted to build at a rate that was somewhat discounted in exchange for me being able to use it for that next summers show circuit.  And surprise. As it was nearly finished. He grew impatient and broke the deal. I finished it anyway out of love for my work.  We had words.  And he took it. I was paid. At least.  Haven’t seen it in person since.  But. I have since forgiven the customer.  He called me.  His dad had just died.  And he was feeling guilty.  And he apologized. And I did too. Because  I was behind schedule by a week.  But there were reasons for that. All which he knew. 
 

anyway. After it left me. It was to go to the trim shop for a suede seat headliner and carpeting.  I had done the dash and door panels.  While it was there in Greenville area.  He took it to Tommy pikes  shop for a dyno  session.  I believe. And while there is when I had people calling me saying that he was really showing it off and letting people believe it was their work.  One phone call , and I had that squashed.  I happened to be in a place in life where I had a $275 an hour lawyer running the meter almost daily and  a few more hours wouldn’t have made me blink. So all is good.  
 

that truck won the f100 nationals twice.    And I must say. It’s brought me more work than anything else. And the only thing I’ve built that I wish I owned long term.    When we had it dynoed it made 677 to the rear wheels. But wouldn’t hook up on the dyno. We had to pile  sand bags on the bed to keep it connected. Even then we had tire spin. Running nitto  555R rear tires.    It is a 5.4l with a Steigmeyer supercharger , and pulleys to make 18lb boost.  Bassani stainless exhaust in 3 inch. It’s just nasty from idle to 5k rpm.  
 

truck body itself has loads of mods you won’t notice at a glance.  Front and rear bumpers cut , sectioned , welded up and rechromed.  Front grille is chromed inside and out.  Side trim is too. Drip rails removed from cab. (huge  amount of work ).  Bed floor is custom wood. ( no fleetside cabs had wood ).  And is raised to accommodate the modern frame that steps up in the back. This means each cross member is progressively thinner to follow the frame and mount the bed level. Notice the wood floor disappears into the bed. No edges exposed. And on and on.  Not good pics. But I don’t have any on this phone.  I built this when I was 29-30 years old. Sorry for the poor screen shots. I really need to dig up and publish better ones.  I have hours of photos from this build. 

All I can say is you are a true craftsman and do outstanding work-- To be honest I do not have the patience or the skills to do that kind of work---- Now an engine I drive people batty because I am so anal and exact. I had a guy a few months ago wanting me to build a 350 Chevy for him. I turned him down first off I have not built a gas engine in over 20 years and do not have the space to do it. In fact just thinking of it now I have not built a diesel engine in 18 years either. He offered me his shop in his backyard. Now this is a funny thing about me. I can work in another shop if I am employed there and it is an Legi mate business but something like that no no. Besides I am retired and have the attitude I do not have to do that to eat. I do not deal with "have to" pressure anymore

That's the one consistent shot I have with any club. It's supposed to lose distance over a draw but I like playing from the middle of the fairway.

A butter cut is my shot has been for years. For me it is an anti hook thing. When I got around 13 or so I developed a bad hook with a nasty rope hook darn near a left lateral. I always had fast hands. My Old Man was a Pro and instructor and all he did was tell me to slow down which would not work. I finally figured out that my natural instinct was fast and if I tried to slow down it threw everything off. I finally taught myself to open the left side up and swing outside in with the face of the club open about 2* or so. Cured the hooks. My Old Man hated it because he was strictly by the book and that was the ONLY way. Now days I have slowed it down some due to old age and injuries. Now I will admit I can not work the ball as well as I used to mainly because of the modern ball and clubs. I know this because I can get out the blades and wound ball and still work it left to right like I used to. I considered it a lot like the late Bruce Lietzke as in he never knew where the left side of the golf course was. 

Everyone knows that some of the modern balls are aerodynamically tricked up. LOL the guys at my old course used to call my fade the North Charlotte Salte. My pro at the time was on a Bridgestone deal. He gave me 2 sample packs of the E-6 when they came out. He played golf that day with me and told me to use those balls. I was puzzled when I could not work those and I could hear him snickering along with one of the assistants in the background. I finally figured it out and did a switch to my standard then Pro V 1x. I snuck one in on a tight right side pin 2 holes later and the look on their faces was like WOW! I looked at them and told him oh yeah I switched back to a Pro V this hole. The joke around the course was that the E-6 was so straight that even "Stuey can not cut them". I know he used that line a lot and sold a boat load of them. My swing and my overall game is mine and mine alone.
