I had one for about a week, just too ugly and did not help a thing. As always it is not the Putter, the roll off this putter is nuts, no skidding and it loves fast greens. Of course the 4 courses we totate on are goat tracks and any given weekend they could be fast or like velcro. About time for them to start punching them when the yankee's leave, which I hope is soon so I can get a tee time during the week early and start sneaking in some more rounds.

What’s funny is as I was typing that I thought to myself “knowing him, I bet he’s already had one”. 😆 BINGO! 😜

*Another assumption. How did you like the Odyssey jailbird?!

I don't think so.  The joke is Wong/Wite, wrong/right.  Nothing being mispronounced there.  But I get it.  By today's standards (specifically, if anything could possibly be considered racist, it is) it is racist.

Well if it wasn’t a play on race then of course it’s not racist. I assumed the joke was about how Asians speak, if not, my bad 🍻

Instead of using the term racist, in this instance "a little bit insensitive" might be a better fit. I reserve the term "racist" for really mean-spirited attacks. And I don't think that was the case here.

Thanks DMM.  As I said, no malice was intended.  Anyway, nobody was offended because I never said it to the Asian people and it was nowhere near racist enough for the redneck guy.

it is pretty sad really I have tried a lot of them from Scotty's to EPON, to Odyessy's, Toulon's, Muira, PING, Bettinardi, TM, Mizuno and I am sure some others I have forgotten. Not being a collector type, if it doesn't shine it is gone.

Watching the replay from Bay Hill, having played the course a few times it amazes me how different it looks with the stands and the TV views.

I really was not impressed with it when I played it and swore the last time I would not give them anymore money. Of course it was not in the TV shape it is now, it was the dead of summer and a bit rough for what I was expecting.

A lot like Copperhead at Innisbrook, my buddy and I played it the year covid hit and it was canceled. All the stands were up and we played as far back as we could go against the barriers, it was WAY too long for me but I parred a couple of holes and broke 100.

A couple of the holes I could not reach the fairway with my short drives. If I had to choose it would be Copperhead all day long,  more interesting to my eye.

My best friend of some 25 years is first generation Vietnamese.

The ish we say to each other on the daily - and have for much of those 25 years - would get us both banned from anywhere that isn't 4chan. 😂

Well in a perfect world that's the way it should be.😁  Everybody takes stuff too serious. Racist to me is telling them I'm not gonna play golf with them because of their race. Not because I told a bad joke to somebody else. I shouldn't even comment because I'm just about impossible to offend. I just don't take much of anything too serious. Not saying it's right, it's just the way I am.

As myself and a couple others have pointed out, these ppl are strangers. Ya just don’t go there. It’s not about who you are or what you wish the world was like. It’s the reality of how the world is and what’s considered socially acceptable. If everyone was us, it would be cool. Unfortunately (or possibly thankfully 😂 ) that’s not the case 🤷🏼‍♂️

Is there / are there any horse experts in the house?

I've been on horseback once in my life.  Was a kid.  On a small horse with a bridle but no saddle.  Didn't listen to the guy who told me how to manage a little tension on the reigns.  Horse stopped dead-still and dropped his head in the same instant.  I rode down his neck like it was a waterslide.

I've actually got a horse question but if none of us can speak to raising them, guess I'll save it for a rainy day.

I grew up taking care of horses and had my own from around age 10 till I split for college. Old terrible photo of her; "Our April Magic" ... (the little red barn in the back; me and dad built that for her)

I offer this little article as interesting history and not politics. Anything written with the word "unbeknownst"  should be worth a look. 😉   Another example of many how happenstance guided our history.

Shades of "Red October".   That was a cool bit of reading.  Thanks!

Was in a meeting once that had wrapped up.  Stuck my head in the boss's office to exchange goodbye's.  He poses an option for me to hang one more day for another meeting.  The man left it entirely up to me and was perfectly fine with me heading on home as planned.

Had two small kids and a wife expecting me that night.  Never stayed away one minute longer than necessary.  For reasons I'll never know, I said I'd stay.  A "stuck on the ladder" situation in its own way as I thought it over rather than snap into my usual mindset.

The trip home often required one or two stops.  In this case, the plane ticket in my pocket would have routed me through Pittsburgh.   That flight nose-dived into the earth near the airport killing all souls onboard.

Great!  Thanks, my man.

Now this one is going to expose my abject ignorance at its finest.

If I have this right, there are people whose job it is to actually assist horses in the act of breeding.  I mean they are right there and they're all up in these horses' business.

Now if you don't come from that world and you're hearing about this stuff....  Questions spring to mind.

A) How the heck did horses get the job done before these folks showed up?

B) What in the world would a man need on his resume to quality for that job?

If this actual role doesn't exist, then I've been sent snipe hunting.  Years ago, the guy who was best-man as the wife and I traded vows, looked me dead in the eye and said he was meeting with folks later that week to manage a horse breeding.  I won't even say on the forum what he said was about to happen.

To this day I still need to know if there are actual real-live people "assisting" horses make a dirty movie, or not.

They breed some horses through artificial insemination, but not thoroughbreds.  I don't think a hoof-job would work so that's where humans come in.

Well, not quite the question I was expecting! 😂 I mean, I could tell you about all the care and grooming involved, feeding, saddling and bridling, how to lead and ride, how to REALLY ride, even hung out with our blacksmith and learned a lot about trimming and shoeing. Never actually did that though ... it looked like one hell of a job.

That being said ... I can speak a tiny bit having just been around many horses; not just my girl.

There's a reason for the whole "stallion" euphemism. When a 1000lb animal wants to do the deed; there ain't much stopping them. And ain't much hornier than a horse that wants a date. So I would imagine in cases that would involve fillies of a certain type - like dear ol' Zenyatta - someone would be involved in making sure it ... ahem ... goes well.
