Wrestlers go thru a lot of crap to make a living. Have a lot of respect for the good ones and the guys who just endured. Love the heels, the great ones elevate the whole thing.

When Bulldog picked me up hitchhiking outside of Windsor Ont,  he was on his way to a performance in Philly. Said he was tired of driving and asked if I'd switch my plans to visit my girl and drive him there. Fork in the road. I enjoyed Ric Flair, Roddy Piper, Randy Savage & Bobby Heenan, dating myself here.. Think Paul Haymen is gold. There was a guy Damian Sandow,would brow beat the crowd about how stupid they were, hilarious. Love the great trash talkers, Vince McMahon was great at being an a-hole heel. Right now Cena has gone dark and he's better than ever to watch. Took my son to an event, it was a blast. Some of the stuff these guys do is crazy dangerous, like if they miss? Somebody is screwed.

Do you remember the crusher? He was big in the 60's and from rockford Illinois.

Heard the name, but not all familiar. Started with wrestling in late 70's. Precursor to WWE used to do shows at my high school, Andre The Giant would be on the card. HQ for current WWE is 9 miles down the highway from me.

Sorry, he was from Milwaukee. Used to watch him a lot when Saturday night wrestling came on the tube from rockford.

Yeah, things were regional in the day. There's great docs on Vice about early days and how everything evolved. Lot of characters , tough gig. They worked 300 days a year, traveled regions, worked injured and dd it for years on years.

Well aware the NBA is about as popular as a cold sore here, but I’m not a member of NBAWRX so…

Steph misses 4.5 games w/a grade 1 hamstring and sits and watches the Ws lose 4 in a row.

Aaron Gordon has a grade 2 hammy and is out there playing today 🤔 

Not a good look for Steph and frustrating for me as a long time Warriors fan 🫤

Huge NBA fan here! Any argument against MJ relies on being too clever by half, digging for some silly arcane obscure fact, and obviously trying to be different just to be different.

 

My favorite player of all time is ’Nique, followed very closely by Magic. But no one has ever played the game like MJ and we will never see another player like him. 
 

Coolest dude is Shaq. He tipped my younger brother $200 for opening a hotel door for him 😂 and then tipped my buddy who was tending BAR so much my buddy never would tell me how much it was.

Not basketball related but I met Walter Payton on the 10th tee at eagle ridge golf course back in the day. One of the nicest guys I've ever met. He talked to us for probably 5 minutes. Cool dude.

Bird is far and away my all time favorite player. But if I had to start a team, my first choice has always been Magic (even though I hate(d) the Lakers). No one has ever made the players around him better to the degree he did. And he could play all five spots on the floor.

I can’t help but think of Roos when I think of Walter. The shoe brand he was sponsored by. The civilian version had a little zipper pocket on the side. Perfect for the house key 🔑

Man, I grew up on those Hawks teams with Dominique, Kevin Willis and, most importantly, Jon Koncak.

They were so good. Knicks and Pistons games were stupid good. I hated Rodman until he came to the bulls. 😁
