Dined here for lunch. Shared a chicken with rosemary. Would be great for a grille

Well, my wifey surprised me this morning... I took the day off, even though I can't drive, just to watch a little golf on TV, maybe hit a few balls in the backyard etc. etc... she came home from work, her boss gave her the day off, and said "Let's play golf" which means she runs/walks along side of me while I play.. so we went to the Trout Club, played the first 9, weather was beautiful, had lunch outside on the patio, had a 'Pitching Wedge' salad (really) http://www.thetroutclub.com/dining.php#salads and Jumbo Pretzels with beer cheese dip... then played the back nine...what a nice day, tonite we're going out again... like a date out :)

Atta-boy! Sounds like a fantastic day with even more to look forward to. Doesn't get any better than that.

(Great tune write-up btw - as always).

Benden,

If the Grille is serving any of those items I'm lining up. There isn't much that old PD won't pork back.

PS - Sixty, love the tune playing on the Jukebox.

I'm on to the main course. I agree with Fella. I measure a Grille by it's ability to churn out quality meats. I'm going to ask for a PB & J Angus Burger with a side of sweet potato fries and spicy mayo dipping sauce. Tall Cherry Coke and ice to wash the food down. I'll need napkins as the burger is friggin' messy.

Aaaaah, 'Le Clubhouse Grille'......Looks like a nice joint.

Is this a ........?

Or a ......?

Or a ......?

Can't open the menu link.

Needs menu. Steak please. And drink.

At least I see recognizable foodstuffs in the first pic. Don't know what's on the plate in the second one. No way in hell am I touching it. Fella don't like mysteries.

I suppose its un-American (or unmanly), but I've never been in a Hooters. What am I missing?

SSP, very nice surprise from the Mrs. Important to remember periodically to make a regular evening out with the Mrs. a date every now and again.

The last time I was in a Hooters I was served by a pregnant waitresss who was due in two weeks. It was an odd experience given the context and the flirting.

The wings were good and spicy and the Coke was flowing so all was good.

That would be either Squid (calamari) or Octopus. Although I've never had Octie, Squid is quite popular in Chinese Restaurants, and I see (eat) it more and more in Sports Bar and Grills. Not as popular as poutine or wings, but getting out there.

Your not missing anything and their wings really suk. Second thing is calamari/octopus or something along that line, will pass on that also. Now the first pic count me all in.

I'll take a Bud Light, a Lefty and a Burger!! ;)

Getting in some rounds these days? How's ol' Piglet?

Back to weekend golf for old Piggy, I've been working at a Kictchen Cabinet shop for the passed 3 weeks. Liking t so far. It ta really cut into my golf time!! Lol. 88 last weekend without losing a single ball!! Im hoping to get out again in the morning if I don't have to work. TP shot a 112 last weekend with his Grandfather too!!

How's about you coach?? Playing muck lately?

If I can't find a game this afternoon or weekend it will mark two weeks without play! Thanks for asking, sir! Was hoping this season would be marked by something resembling 50/50 in terms of practice time to play time just to avoid that old syndrome of being a really golfer - until a scorecard is in your pocket - lol. My son hurt his back weightlifting so he was always a go-to partner but he needs to mend so that's out.

Cabinets, eh? (note the "eh" in honor of my Newfie bud here). Face frames I take it?

Yes Sir, kitchen cabinets!! Got bored of not working very quickly lol. Here is a pic of the order we just finished and delivered yesterday. I guess we are one of the only places around here who build face frame cabinets, most places build frameless cabinets these days I've been told? I really like the ones we build, they turn out very nice!!

2 weeks?? Well I hope you get out soon Sir!! I just booked my time for the morning, hoping it doesn't rain!! Lol. Also hope you sons back heals quickly, being injured in the worst, especially during golf season.

On a side note, I'm going to pick up this bag right after dinner tonight for $100 CDN, hoping it's in as good of shape as it looks in the pics :)

I think a pregnant woman has this special glow that makes her even more beautiful. But I have to admit that the picture doesn't fit the theme.

I could always improvise, as devil's advocate, and say: "Maybe they were short a waitress, that day", but personally, I would feel iffy forcing her to run around for my order.

Pregnant women are most definitely beautiful and you know they put out (to steal a line from Patch Adams) but a Hooters uniform was an odd get up. Not that I'm knocking working women and Hooters.

Grilled octopus is fantastic. People would be surprised at how the texture is firm and taste is so "clean" with no fat but great flavor.. Like chicken or pork but less grainy/wet. Meat is pure white.

Italian place up the block gets it in often, I love that stuff.

Meatime, Ill take a cheeseburger!

Wouldn't want my daughter to ever feel she had to work at Hooters - but I'm her dad so that's how I roll. She'll always be my little girl! Here comes the two-faced part. As a man who has been to one probably 5 times in my life - an not a blind man - They are attractive in their tight skimpy outfits. I end up thinking - "That's somebody's little girl". Then she reminds me that I'm not a blind man (yet)... and then I go back to.... You get the idea.

Pregnant ladies are beautiful. One thing I never could make myself utter...

WE are pregnant.

Sorry - "We" practiced until perfect on the way to that. There's no "I" or "we" in the word "pregnant". No offense to those who have a totally different take on it. lol.

Looking GOOD there Newfie!

Bad accident on the rAvenel bridge bridge

3 cars. Little kids. Took an hour to get over. Hope no one died but did not look good

Doesn't sound at all good. Echo the sentiment for those involved.

http://www.postandco...wn-due-to-crash

For folks who didn't know - that bridge is rather amazing - the place of many events even including an annul running event my son and daughter do along with folks from all over the world.

The old Cooper River Bridge was the where several movie scenes had been shot over the years and had become this rickety and rusty mess. When they blew her butt up, the scrap metal was fished out of the water for recycling in China as I recall it.

Scotee - Until now it never actually occurred to me what happens when it comes to the deceased

Wolf - Steak sounds good! Hand the menu to Scotee when done and let's chow-down.

It was probably raining and that bridge is dangerous in the rain. Hope those folks are ok.

LOL when they built the new bridge I was a mechanic for a concrete company and we had some trucks there doing the base under the water. They used to load those trucks on a barge to get them to the pump that was pumping the concrete down below. One day something happened and we lost 2 of the trucks in the river. They sent someone with a floating derrick and got them out and they were a mess of course they were POS before they went in. I actually have a Bull Dog off the hood of one of them that went in. And no it is not the one on the hood of my Dakota. Someone paid for those 2 trucks I do not know who if it was the state or the contractor. Of course my boss was smart enough not to send any front line trucks on that deal. In fact those two trucks were not DOT legal and were towed down there they would still mix and pour concrete. LOL again they got towed back to the beach water logged of course

Saw it done there used to be an outfit from Raleigh NC that was licensed to do it that did some of ours. They knew their stuff. They drilled holes in the correct places and it was not a big boom and hardly any concussion. The trucks that were due we would remove the drum hatch covers and they would come in over the weekend and do their thing. Then on Monday I would re thread the flange plate or weld in a new one if needed and reseal and install the hatch plates

That Montreal Spice for steaks is good stuff we use it all the time. When I grill either steak or hamburger I put a little extra on mine and char it up a little and get a little crunchy crust
