Best 13* Fairway Wood

Nike Vapor Flex set to 13 degrees. When my driver is acting up, I crank the flex to 13 degrees and i'm back on the fairway.

Update - On a whim, stopped at Miles of Golf during lunch. They were slow so they spent some serious time with me testing a bunch of heads and shafts. TEE EX9 Long, M2, XR, 915FD, Ping G Stretch, Cobra LTD, PXG, and a few others. Swapped shafts in and out as much as we could. For me, my Cobra F6 at 13* with the stock stiff Red Tie spun too much and cost me serious yards. Long story short, the 915 FD and LTD were far and away the best of the bunch for me. The 915 FD was just a bit better results-wise and feel-wise. So I'm now the proud owner of a 13* Titleist 915 FD (set @ C1) with a Diamana S+70.

 

Oh yeah, the previously mentioned Cobra F6 3 Wood will be finding it's way to the BST soon! :)

The best so far that I've used is the original XHot 3deep 13°. Deepest face of the Callaway deeps. With a PX-10A2, it is THE DOG'S BALLS!

lol I played a 14* R15 driver and for some weird reason it just worked for me. Nobody believed that it was a HL head because of the distance I was getting.

 

I only replaced it because an M2 HL went in.

 

Because of this I went 5 wood as next club into 3 iron hybrid. I recommend experimenting. It is however expensive if it doesn't work out

Yes the Adams Tight Lies Ti 13.5 is a beast! You have to tee it super low, but the upside is that it is also very playable off of the ground.

I don't know if this qualifies as "best", but 906F2 was definitely the longest at 13*. I couldn't even keep it in the bag because it screwed up my gaps- was basically a tiny, less forgiving driver off the tee.

This year I found a used Hibore xls 13* with the fit on red shaft that I couldn't hit well. Reshafted it with a Aldila tour green shaft which transformed it. Suddenly it became extremely easy to pick up the ball and send it high straight and quite long.

Totally underrated, but see if you can try the Bridgestone J15F 13.5*. It's a bomber, and forgiving too. It looks great at address, stock Fubuki Z 75 is tight. No extra junk to worry about, just pick it up and hit it! Can be used as a driver no doubt, but for some lies it can play well from the deck. Hard to demo, sometimes you have to go on suggestions, or by quality of the OEM. Don't think many would be disappointed.

Got myself a TEE XCG7 Beta 13.5*. Quite forgiving and long off the tee or deck.

I'll give a solid vote for my Adams XTD Ti 13.5º. I use it almost exclusive off the tee, saving the 18º hybrid for off the deck. I don't know if it's the best, but I had my first (unexpected) over 300 yard tee shot (about 305-310) with it yesterday (1 club tailwind and must've been a firm ground bounce and roll). I haven't hit a Rapture, and I haven't played a Ping G Stretch (although I liked it in store). I do notice a few bad hooks with it with hook swings and some unexpected slight fades when I thought it should go straight. When I'm sure what I'm replacing it with is more forgiving and just as long, I'll replace it, but not until then. It's a cannon.

Nike Vapor Flex set to 13 degrees is the longest fairway wood I've ever hit. Face is very deep and is great off the tee. Its a little more challenging off the deck.

 

The 915fd 13.5 is long too but not as long as the Nike. It's much better off the deck and looks great at address.

I bought this club (Callaway Diablo Octane Pro 13*) about 4-5 years ago after watching what he does with it. I recently swapped it out for a TM UDI driving iron after moving to a course where there was no need to hit a 3W. It's the best fairway wood I've ever owned, I've attempted to upgrade it at least 5 times with no success.
