Need a new grip recommendation

I've been playing these Wynn mid-size grips for years, but the last few regrips have only held up for 3-4 rounds before they start disintegrating. Granted, I grip the club way too tight, but they just don't fit the bill any longer. Would like something similar in feel, i.e., soft, in a mid-size.

 

Suggestions?

I tried Wynn years ago and will never go back. No durability. Crappy.

 

Ideas:

 

Golf Pride CP2 Wrap - midsize. They have a reduced taper so it feels just a little thicker on the bottom hand compared to standard. My brother and another friend both use those and like them. It may help to reduce a draw, or over draw, tendency. Softer feel for sure.

I prefer Lamkin. They have at least 3 different wraps in midszie.

 

1. Wrap tech - which are very tacky.

2. Permawrap

3. UTx Wrap Cord - I use these in midsize. They are firmer but I like that. Not as hard as a traditional cord grip however.

I have used Lamikn for 20 years - they make a good product IMO.

I use Golf Pride CP2 wrap.

 

Also check out Star Grips wrap on golfworks. Inexpensive grip made of 100% rubber that will last years

Thanks to all for the recommendations. I regripped 3 of my clubs using the CP2 Wraps and absolutely love them! Went to the range last night and hit some balls and they felt great.

What about the classic Golf Pride Tour Velvet in MID? its really a overlooked and by many forgotten grip in the jungle of all the new stuff, but its hardly any grips who offer all off what it does. it might not be as exiting as many others but it works for most who seeks a grip without cord, and if the taper profile itself is a "issue", it can be tweaked on all grips, dont forget that.

 

Almost all wedges i made the last 5 years is made with asymmetrical build up tape and here is my way to do it.

If you take a regular GP New Decade and build it up this way, you get a grip with a bit more "meat" under your lower hand than MMC4

Its especial for wedge its good, it helps to stabilize faced angle and direction by adding comfort to the lower hand and its easy to make it.

In my opinion, the STAR line of grips, are great. Made in the USA, and I believe come with a 3 year warranty. I particularly like their Smoothee, which imitates the old leather wraps. Great tack. Plus, very reasonably priced.

My local store told me they were discontinuing the GP CP2. Basically the only grip Golf Pride has been able to sell in volume has been the New Decade/MCC grip. Otherwise I would've given it a try. I don't want to go down the line of discontinued.

 

I'd be a happy man if someone can dispel the rumor, but otherwise my next grip will be the Pure DTX.

I have just become mildly obsessed with the Pure DTX. I got a set of Pure Pro's and absolutely loved the feel of them, but any moisture on the bottom hand makes them slick. I wanted that Pure feel so I got a few DTX to test out and man oh man are these things awesome. The grip of a cord without the firmness. My unicorn.

Just played the new Lamkin Z5 grips on a golf trip over the last week in all conditions. They were an all around great performer. I recommend them highly.

I played Lamkin UTx midsize grips last year, which I liked, but were a little firmer than I wanted, and seemed to get a little slick by the end of the season. I thought the Pure DTX looked cheap, but they sure do feel nice in your hands, and if you like an assortment of colors, they've got that covered too. I've played with the DTX this entire season, and they still feel like new. They're fairly cheap too (around $5-$6 per grip).

Pure Grips are legit. I have pure pro mid size on all my clubs except putter. If you want something that feels great and is damn near indestructible than look at Pure Grips. I've had mine on for over a year and still feel brand new.
