"You've Entered the Twilight Zone" with certain balls

Hello All:

Have you ever played a ball or brand that you simply cannot hit no matter what?

I can hear Rod Serling in my head after every swing using a Callaway ball (multiple rounds). I don't know what it is about Callaway balls (Supersoft, SR1 and others over time ); it just is. I was on the course by myself today so I thought that I'd have some fun hitting different balls off the tee; my swing today was better then most days. With a Callaway: I'm topping the ball (SuperSoft) and hard slicing into the next fairway plus losing balls in trees (SR1).

Then I'm transported back to my current dimension when I tee up a Tiltlest NXT Tour S. With this ball off the tee, my misses are still playable even off the fairway and then hitting greens and fairways other times. I seem to have better rounds when I play this ball.

Love the NXT Tour S, but too expensive. OP, try Wilson 50s. best ball for the buck. Been using the Callaway HX Bites lately. Nice ball. Hold the greens on full shots. Love the feel of all clubs too! ;)

Any ball any other color than white. Especially bright "neon" yellow.

Can't do it. Even the awesome-ness of a Z-Star could not keep my focus on that bright thing. Sure they were easy to see even as the sun was going down. But too bright really does apply in this game.

I have three go-to balls right now that I love.

Callaway Chrome Soft is my personal favorite.

Titleist Velocity is an awesome ball for me - just not quite as long as CS.

Pro V1 of course. (duh, right?)

I also like the Project a. And today I hit an Rzn Black for the first time and was incredibly impressed.

Calloway does it to me, too.

I do like the Chrome Soft, and at one point liked the Supersoft - but after a good while with the SS, it was noticeably shorter and underwhelming compared to anything else in the category (Duo, Softfli, Get Sum, etc.), and I have no idea why. I figured it was just good ol me and my individual impact characteristics.

Everything else of Callaway's that I've played (HX Black, Diablo Tour, Hex Chrome/Chrome+), I've ended up hating.

I do like the Chrome Soft, and at one point liked the Supersoft - but after a good while with the SS, it was noticeably shorter and underwhelming compared to anything else in the category (Duo, Softfli, Get Sum, etc.), and I have no idea why. I figured it was just good ol me and my individual impact characteristics.

Everything else of Callaway's that I've played (HX Black, Diablo Tour, Hex Chrome/Chrome+), I've ended up hating.

To me the Diablo felt really hard. Reminded me of years ago when I used to play almost nothing but Pinnacles. Back then "feel" meant nothing to me but distance was important. At 20 something I really needed to keep up with my buddies. Those "rocks" sort of let me do that.

The Diablo just felt horrible. I think I still have almost a full dozen that I cannot bring myself to put into the bag - planning on letting the wife swing away at them.

I'd take any of the three TF Gamer balls over the Diablo series, and those price the same or even cheaper.
