He had surgery on his neck and missed a lot of tournaments. He played at John Deere and I talked with him about the surgery. Just getting back his strength. I'd guess he will have a medical exemption for 2017.

I actually played with someone who is a friend of his yesterday, he's playing himself back into shape after disc surgery, newly married and living in Florida. #27 on the all-time money list with north of $29m who knew.

yeah i walked with his group at the barclays a couple of years back, as a volunteer. he was particularly nice - a lot of the players just ignore us.

Unfortunately I had a friend who played with him in a pro am and it was the opposite. But good to hear he isn't always like that :)

I agree, media knows that he's honest (overly honest) to a fault ... bait him with the 'zinger question and let the cameras roll. Run the highlights on golf central for added drama points, rinse and repeat. He's obviously been out of the media cycle for a while now, hopefully he's taken stock of what to expect when he returns.

There's definitely some truth to media and fans blowing things out of proportion. And I actually appreciate the honesty you see in guys like Sabo, Sergio, Bubba, etc. But at the same time, if you can tick off Sean O'Hair to the point where he's fuming, you probably need to get a hold of yourself. I believe Sean is up there on the "nice" factor. Hopefully Rory has that fiery side in check and gets back out there. Good player.
