Torrey Pines - Sunday, October 16 - Looking for resident rate

I'm flying in on Sunday morning (October 16) into San Diego. After picking up my bags and rental car, I could probably be ready to play by noon.

Looking for 1-3 others to join me at Torrey Pines South and get me onto the course with the resident rate. I will also pay for a round or two of beers after the round.

I can play with anyone of any handicap. I'm currently a 9.3, but, in reality, I play closer to a 20 at sea level.

If it makes a difference, I hate the Broncos, too. :)

I just called Torrey Pines, and they will be doing a public shotgun at 1pm that day.

Is it really impossible to use someone else's resident card to get on the course?

Can't be sure but I'm pretty sure that even if you are with a resident you Will pay the non resident rate. Only the resident with Id card gets the resident rate.

Its basically impossible unless you can get a guy to pay for you with his resident card and then you play in his place. I actually might be able to do that for you. Send me a PM and i'll check out tee times when it gets closer.

It appears there was only 6-7 groups available for the 1pm shotgun, and those were taken very quickly a while ago.

I have an 11:52am tee-time booked at Coronado Golf Course. The lady in the pro shop had to book it as a twosome and told me to cancel the second spot when I arrive. If someone on here would like to join me, I won't cancel until I get off the plane on Sunday morning.
