I agree with you. I think the grip prevents me from hitting down on the ball.

I need to update this video as I have switched to a more neutral grip. I am definitely getting a draw with every club in the bag but I have trouble starting the ball to the right of my target. It seems when I try that, I hit a push.

Some good, some not so good.

I think your left hand grip looks very strong. At the top of your backswing, you're in a good position with your body and hands overall. Good hip and shoulder rotation, nice flat left wrist, club slightly laid off - these are all good things. But notice how the clubface is pointing to the sky (just like DJ)? This essentially means the face is closed and de-lofted. Ideally, with a flat left wrist like that, we'd see the leading edge of the clubface matching the left arm.

From here you pull the shaft down steeply, losing some of the nice external rotation you'd built up in your right shoulder, early extend (lose your tush line towards the ball), straighten your legs instead of rotate hips, raise the handle high at impact and swing your path out to right field. Why? All because that face is shut at the top.

You can either do two things in my mind. Keep things as they are, but from the top leave your arms up as long as possible as you shift and rotate your lower body hard a la DJ. This will naturally shallow the club for you, allow you to keep tush line, stop you raising handle so much at impact and allow a more neutral path. Only issue is you have to be super athletic to do this and if your hips slow down just a touch during downswing your clubface could shut down through impact, causing low and/or left shots and/or hooks.

OR, you can simply weaken your grip. If you do that an keep your backswing exactly how it is now, wrist angles an all, you'll be in a much better position at the top to start the downswing. Only issue is if you do your current backswing, the ball is going to go miles right. But you seem athletic and as such, if you stick with the new weaker grip, eventually your body will figure out a new way of getting the clubface squarer to the ball. Hopefully it will involve a combination of bowing the left wrist a touch, being more dynamic and rotational with lower body, keeping the handle much lower at impact and having a path that is more left of your current one.

Most important part of golf swing is understanding the relationship between your hands and the clubface, because your body will react differently depending on what that relationship is.
