Hey all. Not sure if everyone got this this morning but I thought I'd share. I'm going to be grabbing one for sure to give it a try.

The wait is finally over. KBS Golf Shafts is officially announcing the release of its KBS Tour Graphite Hybrid Shaft. Yeah, it's a lot light on details but this is a basic press release for the masses. I've played KBS Tour iron shaft in a hybrid and it worked great except for the weight - didn't over spin but launched mid/mid-high. This sounds like it'll be just what I'm looking for. I'll be putting it against a SteelFiber 95.

I'm doing a fitting on Saturday and plan on asking if I can get one of these in a Apex UT. I have KBS Tours in my irons so I feel like this could be a great driving iron shaft.

105 would be cool and I'd bet they have one for the tour but if the 95 is as stable as the iron shaft, I'm in.

I saw the email too, but thanks for starting the thread. I think we can use it for unofficial reviews and whatnot. I'm interested in trying these shafts too. I actually like the C-Taper Lites in my UDIs, but will want to get one of these for a hybrid head like an M1 or something.

I've been drooling over these since they were announced. I've been trying to bug those that got them early to see what they think but nobody has gotten back to me. Definitely going to pick one up.

Personally, I prefer an iron shaft in my hybrid for 3 reasons - weight (most retail hybrid shafts are too light - <90g), cost (iron shafts, even graphite ones, are usually under $50 each), and consistency of feel/playability with my irons (most have a softer tip than my iron shafts so I have to swing differently or it produces a different flight than what I'm looking for). I like that there is a 95g option to help with weight transition from irons to woods.

I have a BBA 815 20° hybrid I'll be putting this one in against the Steelfiber i95. If I am not wild about the head but like the shaft, it's going right in the R15 to see how it does.

It was designed using the EI data of KBS Tour. So It will be a similar bend profile to KBS Tour and perform in a similar manner.

That price point is a little high for a hybrid shaft, isn't it? I was thinking they would be around $100.
