I definitely could have done this if not for the fact that i have never been able to do any of them. But when i was younger, like in my 20's, for sure i would've done this bet had i been able to achieve any part of it

Why isn't there a bet for these criteria,

1), Hit all FIR from the tee

2), Hit 80% GIR

3), try hit < 36 putts in a round.

Which would actually improve people's golf.

Or the bet should be shooting under par. Which is what actually matters.

If you want to lift heavy, lift heavy. If you want to drive it long, drive it long. If you want to be fast, run some fast 10k times. None of those really matter for golf. If you want to be a great golfer, post low scores. The rest is just ego.

For the record, I don't qualify as any of those things. I don't lift heavy, drive it long, run fast, or post low scores :). The only thing that actually matters in golf is that I don't post low scores. The rest is irrelevant. No one cares if you can bench 315 and drive it 300 if you post an 83.

In all seriousness when you start getting real strong you get diminishing returns in athletic ability for example I was running 4.4 40s got stronger and was only 4.5/4.6 also kept pulling my hamstrings

At my peak my bench was 425 and squat 550 st 220lbs never deadlifted as it want a football lift

I am with Pin, the 300+ true carry would be the most difficult. 20 years ago when I played football we had 17 guys on the team that benched over 400 lbs. I did 460lbs bench back then. Of course that was not a meet type, pause at the bottom, yada yada back then for football but you did have to keep your rear end on the bench. We didn't max DLs but 495 would have been more than attainable. The most I ever squatted was 605. After I did the first rep, my nose exploded all over the dang place and fired me up and I did a second. Now that wasn't pausing again, but our strength coach was a stickler and you better get to parallel and not start up until he yelled UP.

My SS way back in my late 20's reached high 120s and now I have hit 119 on Dans flightscopre but I can't routinely fly it 300. I can fly it 280+ all day, but 3 bills in the air is only when I nut one.

Good god, that's nuts/awesome!

I was going to say totally 100% unbelievable

Those numbers aren't really the gold standards - nor anywhere near unicorn numbers. As many trolls, idiots and bored teenagers there are on a site like Bodybuilding dot com, those numbers are dime a dozen on there for natural guys. Those aren't huge powerlifting numbers (there are a lot of crossfitters and bodybuilders that can do those numbers too) for guys north of 200 lbs that have been doing it awhile. Those numbers on a BB forum for guys north of 200 lbs is probably 50% test passed - the real hard part of this test is the golfing numbers, not the lifting numbers for most dedicated lifters of size. I'd say the probability of the people in this site that can do the driver test is less than 1%? That weeds a tremendous number of people out.

I actually think their is a higher percentage of people that can roll out of bed and do the golfing portion tomorrow than their are people that can move the weight. I can think of a few members right now that can do the driving part, I can't think of one that can do the lifting tomorrow.

Yeah, on this site I agree - I was I guess referencing gen population in total. On a BB forum those numbers are way higher of people that can do those numbers as percentage, to what a few guys can do on here for driving on tens of thousands of members. I'd be super close, but I'm not willing to risk blowing my back trying it tonight at 6pm haha. Most guys that don't train deadlifts in 1MR levels are going to have their squat and deads pretty close in poundage. Deadlifting is a skill.

I think Rosco and Thunder over spoke a little as they did not realize that you, me, and others were referring to doing it "now" not training for it and one day being able to do it. Both Rosco and Thunder are obviously great athletes and golfers. It's another level of health and preparation that would allow someone to roll out of bed and complete these tasks. Not too many grown men have that kind of time on their hands to be that dedicated in the gym and on the course to be prepared for this today.

Sucks to be me right now. Had this come up before my health issue I would have been able to do them all on a moments notice. Once I get healthy again and cleared to lift weights by my doctors again I am going to revisit this challenge.

You soccer guys or "football" guys over there don't quite understand American football do you? Benching 400 lbs is pretty much a necessity. DBs and RBs that weight 200 lbs can throw 400lb benches up all day every day. Take a 300lb lineman and if he can'd deadlift 495 then he might as well play tittlie winks. Because he isn't seeing the field.

It's not so much we thought we could train for awhile and do it "one day". I have been able to do all 3 of the lifts and the driving part this past March coming out of winter when I'm my strongest. I don't lift that heavy continuously over the golf season. T-Buzz obviously can do when he's healthy. At my size it takes me to be at my absolute strongest to pull 495 being that I'm over 6' and sub 200lbs. Rolling out of bed on any given day year round takes someone who can honestly press close to 400, squat and pull over 500, because for someone who lifts heavy squat and heavy deadlifts are going to be fairly close in max. Which I certainly can't do. The flying 300 part is easiest for me, then squat, then bench and lastly deadlift.

Rolling out of bed, currently, after a couple days rest to and to load calories, I can do the bench, squat and pull 465ish.

I honestly thought there would be more guys on this forum, true LD guys that dwarf me in stature, that could do this. I did just start this thread 2 days so maybe they are out there.
