I would like you to post how many are the most birds you

have made in a row in your golfing life?

Any interesting stories about the birdie streak are of course encouraged.

Mine was

5 in a row

Playing for 25 years when the streak took place.Handicap of 7 at the time.

Back nine in Beaumont ,CA. PGA of Southern California's home course.

Middle of winter.

3 approach shots that were really tight, all putts made.

One 25 foot putt as well for a birdie.

One Par 5, I was on in two and 2 putted.

It was really the most "in the zone" feeling I have ever experienced on a course. Playing 25 years seriously and practiced a good bit also ,so it was not out of this world for a single digit. I have never come close since though so it is very tough to do.

 

The best thing about it was it happened with the regular three knucklehead's that I

had a weekly game with for years. Very special personal golf memory for sure.

Way back when I played in an All Army Tournament in Castle Pines, Colorado, Par 72, made 4 in the front nine (32) and 5 on the back (34), still shot 66, made a few bogies before and after the last streak...

One of the very few rounds where I was in control of my swing and wasn't thinking about anything at all.

3 in a row for me here. I've been playing for probably 28 years but started young around age 5, played some here and there with my parents and kind of lost touch with the game from age 14-20. Found the game again after that time and have been playing most of my golf the last 13 years. I've probably hovered around 7-10 hcp the last couple of years and was as low as a 4 back in 2009-2010.

 

I honestly don't remember much about the round other than the course, and the 3 holes the birdies happened on. I know I didn't play particularly well that day and the 3 birdies probably kept me from posting a score I would've been pretty unhappy with.

Never more than two in a row. My handicap is 17. I did have back-to-back birdies twice in a single round once. That was pretty cool.

I was out playing with some friends who do not play, summer, middle of the day, slow pace, and I start out poorly.

 

One of the only times I can remember being on the course and my head being totally out of it, but I got hot around the turn and went 4 in a row.

But I have had a few rounds start birdie birdie - used to play a course a lot with an easy par 5 followed by a short par 4 to start off. Then I would always remember to sabotage myself and end up with something in the low 80's.

3 in a row to start the round. You could have knocked me over with a feather. Shot one under on the front(first time) ... limped in with a 42 for a 75. Was my personal best at the time.

6 birdies and an eagle once is my most under par in 18 holes

 

Once played the 4 par 5's at my home course in 5 under. Had three 15 foot eagle putts and only made 1 of them

Three if you count the time I hit a goose crossing the fairway between two holes I birdied. Sadly for real two is the best I've done . Which has happened only a couple of times.

Just two. Have done it numerous times... numerous, meaning 2 or 3, LOL! I don't make birdies. My best rounds are typically lots of pars, with minimal damage.

My best 9 hole round this year started with seven GIRs - birdie opportunities from 4'-15'. Couldn't make a single one.

4 in a row for me and a lip-out for a 5th. I don't generally make a ton of birdies, just kind of grind out a lot of pars so it was definitely one of those days where everything was going right for me. Every putt I looked at was either going in or burning/catching an edge. Happened on holes 7-10 at Flanders Valley Golf Course in Randolph (?), NJ. 7th and 8th were shots that were stuck to about 5 feet and were straight putts so nothing crazy. 9th was from about 10" away and I honestly thought it was going in the entire time from the fairway. Just a SW that was pure and all over the stick from the second it left the club. 10th hole was a par-5 straight up the hill that I somehow got on in 2 (never done that before or since) and 2 putted for birdie. And then 11 I had about a 15 foot downhiller with a good bit of left to right on it and I thought the putt was dropping the whole way. Had maybe just a hair too much pace on it and caught the lip on the high side.

 

To this day I vividly remember almost everything about that 5 holes stretch, but not much more about the rest of the round.

I've made the same number as you OP, 5 in a row, out at Hampton Hall golf course in Bluffton, SC. The birdie putts all ranged from 5 - 20' so it wasn't like I was throwing darts that afternoon but instead, it was one of those days where the putter was on fire and looking at the cup was like staring down a hula hoop. No other club in the bag I would pick to be on fire with over the flat stick.

 

I still have very fond memories that day. The rough was playing like the US Open, F22 Raptors=s soared over our heads for the entire round and my buddy accidentally killed a bird with his tee shot. Awful feeling and I felt as helpless as watching Randy Johnson vaporize that bird with his fastball during a Diamondbacks game a few years back. As we pulled up right off the fairway looking for his ball, we found it sitting there with a perfect lie, 18 inches from a pile of feathers and a fallen soldier. We buried the poor guy along with the ball and continued what was otherwise a great afternoon.
