Cmon everyone on this sight will need a TX and it tipped 1 inch and it'll still spin too much

 

... and the high spin rates will have nothing to do with attack angle or poor mechanics.

 

Correct. It'll be because the golfer is using a Titleist driver head!

I have one of the original Diamana X limited edition shafts, and it is a wonderful shaft. It is like the Blueboard on steroids. Funny how I haven't hit it in a long time; maybe I need to put it back in the bag.

So uhm, I'm a bit confused about hard hitters thing. If I swing 95-100 should I even bother looking at 50 or 60 S flex or will these be too much shaft for me?

 

The previous version was about as smooth and linear a loading shaft as has ever been made. The feel of it is really hard to describe. I won't know, obviously, until we hit and test these, but based on the first gen, as long as you get the flex right, they are playable for everyone.

anything over 430cc just isn't acceptable

Bought a 917D3 8.5 and don't have enough spin... been as low as 800 on indoor flightscope and getting insufficient carry but incredible roll

 

What's your swing speed? 4? That's gotta be an error

It is interesting to note that many companies has now gone the high-end route even though many believe that the industry is actually declining in growth. Is it a PXG-effect? I don't know. To me it is certainly interesting to have more 'quality' option instead of manufacturers just trying to move product in the sake of share market.

While on the Callaway trip we met with the Mitsu guys. some cool stuff in the works for them. The new B series shaft looks a bit like the old X. So I mentioned it looking similar and they told us that there will be a new X coming, I'm pretty sure they say it had a $750 MSRP. It had been a long day so my memory could be a little foggy on that.

Probably too much club for me.. went back to the 915D2 9.5 and got normal numbers (~2000 spin). Any idea if the 917D3 9.5 would work?

 

What's the shaft in your 915 and 917?

If my memory serves me right, the GP is a low-launch and quite a low-spin shaft, too. I did notice that the 917 produce a lower spin compared to 915 but I did not realize it would be that much lower. Perhaps going down on loft adds to that, but I am still pretty certain it won't be that much.

 

How's your launch numbers?

Bump on this as I am curious as well. It looks like it has the signature S+/Blueboard EI profile, but with scary low torque (2.4* in the 60S???). I'd be interested to hear some reviews from some 98-100mph swingers with smooth-mid transitions and how this holds up. On paper it looks like it'd be best to drop a weight class to 50 to keep the torque as halfway passable, but a few comments here saying previous iterations were super smooth...so what do I know.
