Anyone knowledgeable on XCaliber shafts could help me?

Hey guys,

So I needed a shaft to put in a King LTD 3 wood. I'm cheap and had heard great things about the XCaliber shafts, especially how low spin/launch they are which is what I need. Specifically the Tour/Pro model. (These are the exact same, the older one was called Tour, new one called Pro and has a new paint job.

Anyway, it was out of stock on Golfworks, and while waiting for it to come back, I was looking at other shafts on eBay and got lucky and found the exact shaft I wanted some guy had listed brand new for $12.

Here is the listing:

It shows the "Tour Fairway" shaft (the previous paintjob/name)

But the shaft I actually received looked different, and I can't find pics of this exact one online. It does say TFW which I assume is Tour Fairway, and is TS flex which I wanted.

1) Is this shaft the exact same as the newer two as well? Or is it different?

2) And the more concerning thing, as that this shaft does not feel that stiff. Everyone talks about how these are some of the stiffest shafts on the market, and many usual X-flex players step down to S-flex in them.

But, my unscientific "bend against the floor test" against a couple of my other X-flex fairway woods shows that clearly this thing feels more flexy.

That's the same shaft just a newer paint scheme. I know a lot of people talk about these shafts being very stout, but I never found that. Maybe a tad more firm but not a full flex IMO.

So they have had 3 paint schemes on the same product?

Many people who swing 110-115 said the S-flex was fine for them. This is the TS and it feels more flexible than all my other X-flex fairway shafts... Pretty noticeable too

I remember those 2 schemes above, not a 3rd. To me the stiffs I owned played like stiffs should and if not tipping took care of it.

Main stiffness with these shafts is the more parallel tip...that is the big deal. They are pretty stout in the TS versions. I wouldn't let the 'flex test' sway from testing out in the real world.

Haha, OK. I've seen crazier things here. Agree with that DSL above. The stiffness touted in those shafts is in the tip section. Give it a shot. You may like it

Your real picture is of the original series, which had a "gloss" paint finish. The second series went to a matte "raw" finish.

I bend profile measured the original in both tour driver and fairway shafts....found that the FW had a softer tip section than the driver model. I liked the driver shaft, but did not like the softer tip FW

Yes, they have had gloss, matte raw, and now matte raw with new graphics
