T.P. Mills Putters

Cameron's are OK putters, but the handmade Mills Putters are much superior feeling Putters. I suppose people get caught up in the hype of the marketing of Cameron's but for pure feel in a Putter give me a TP Mills any day. If you are a serious player and want to get the most out of your game get a custom Mills Putter and you won't regret it. You will have something in your bag that sets you apart from the crowd and a better putting stroke.

i have to agree that of all the boutique putter makers, i think TP Mills are the best looking and best feeling of them all by far

Any softtail (non)gamers that could share whether I should consider one of these. I've got a chance to get one but need to make my decision on pictures only.....380g seems pretty heavy so that is making me a little gun shy on the idea......

The difference is very simple. If SC does limited runs of 500, then there probably a million Camerons ot there. Comparatively David Mills may have made 5,000 and all were made and shipped from-Alamabama, USA.

Is one better than the other? No. They are both very high quality and the rest remains in the stroke of the user. The difference is recognized by the guy who plays Scratch irons or rides a custom made bike. The coolness factor is based upon the rarity of the tool.

I am a good player (5) and I would be considered as a very calm player I have been called the Zen Master. That said, I am not a flashy player, I do not buy paint just because it’s new with new buzz words.


I know David and he is as laid back as anyone I know. That said; If the tool reflects the maker and owner, I may be the typical Mills player. My bag is simple FT-9/Fubuki Tour, VSteel 3wd, ’03 Apexes w/950gh, Taylor 52 gap, old Hogan BeCu SW and a T.P. Mills Softtail mini. Notice that not much matches, so the guy who wants a Mills is definitely not a clubho, but a feel player that appreciates David’s fine craftsmanship.

Ditto that - I've got a sweet tp mills blade, and really, really like it. There's something about the combination of a pencil shaft with a milled blade that is amazing. What else would you expect from the father of the milled putter?

I have owned 4 TP Mills putters (made by David Mills) and currently have two in my small collection. I am gaming a tour bag Huey that David made for the 2012 Honda Classic. The other TPM putter I have is my custom Heritage which is my backup. The quality of TP Mills putters is outstanding. The offerings and customer service from Jay and David are even better. I am definitely a TP Mills convert and will look here for my next putter needs as these putters are as good as any putter I have ever used (including the many SC putters I have owned).

Falling in love with TP Mills lately. Unfortunately, his sticks are hard to come by and aren't exactly cheap.

Mills putters where never cheap to begin with. They can be had for about half the price of new which is pretty fair.

David is getting ready to post 10-15 putters that he took out on Tour with him this year on his site. They are true Tour putters and he is going to sell them very reasonably. They are mostly flat black oxide finishes in many classic styles. There are a few stainless putters, as well.

 

He is also going to be doing some handmades for you lefties out there, as well. So keep checking the site.
