Saw Scotts today. VERY nice. Looked like a misted finish. I am sure he will pot some pics when he gets off of work :)

it takes about 3 hours per putter. now, what I can't tell you is how long it will take David to do it start to finish.

45 hours of work a week gets him only 15 putters. I guess he should charge more for his putters. Just let me get mine first.

that is once the head is milled. it can take three hours or more to mill one head, depends on how intricate the radius might be or how you want the shoulders to look. The detail work is a b****!!!!

if you are making complete handmades, you won't get that many.

 

when you are doing professional series, you turn about 11 per day.

Just recieved my Softtail today. Thanks, Jay. Wow. Looks amazing. Somehow feels even better. Worth every penny. It looks like it has more of a matte finish on the topline than my old Fleetwood. Is it beadblasted or something? I think it's better that way, it probably won't reflect the glare as much. Taking it out tomorrow as long as the weather's better.

glad you like it. It is bead blasted for a non-glare finish. I know it can get pretty bright out there on the islands!!!

They are quite beatiful putters. I just got one from Jay and I love it. I had doubts about getting one because for some reason this putters don't photograph well, but in person, its the most beautiful putter I've seen. Its hard to imagine how much better a custom one would be, and one of these days I'll have to find out.

I am seriously considering it.

 

There are several Mills in my local golf shop, and pictures really don't so them justice. I just need to get through the season financially unscathed and I will grab one. The only problem is that they do not have 33" or 34" here - I assume they are available. I am also curious what the "T" in the pocket of some of the Softtails is all about.

They are in limited shops, I hear. I have only seen them new in one shop.

 

Are heads weights the same or different? I'd be just as happy cutting one down if it will play the same... I'm all about instant gratification

It was a Watts here too. They have a couple of each style as well as 4 holiday putters. The holiday putters were pretty sharp, but I want to actually play my putter so they weren't for me...
