TPO is basically run by the GlobalGolf/3balls team. They sell the same stuff that is being sold on both of the other sites an usually for higher prices for Righties. No way they can even begin to be on the level of CPO which when you consider things like the $125 brand new GBB deal recently are pretty amazing.

What better way to get your clubs in peoples hands. No other OEM has anything comparable to the level, pricing and service of CPO.

You're right. I wish Ping did it. Never been disappointed with CPO.

Quick question for anybody in the know. I bought a GBB driver a few days before their ebay store deal on them hit. Paid $224 and same driver/shaft on ebay store $110. So I call customer service and this guy Jeremy tells me they dont have anything to do with the store there and ebay sets the prices. I would need to buy the driver at the ebay price then return my current driver purchased from CPO site and wait 7-10 days for refund. I asked why they couldnt just price match and give me a credit so we didn't have to go through the hassle. He told me again the ebay store is separate and things like returns/warranties work different there.

Did I just get a guy that didnt have a clue or is that true? I ended up going the route of purchasing another one from ebay because I didn't want the particular driver setup to sell out before I got an answer.

it sounds like they are a different store on eBay, and not the same store as Callaway pre-owned. I think the Callaway preowned individual gave you an excellent recourse of sending the club back for refund. I think that is very good customer service to offer that option.

Yes, I wasn't unhappy with the customer service, just confused because for instance, he mentioned the warranty being different but on the ebay store front it specifically states the same warranty offered as the CPO website. Also he said the return (if needed) was different as well, but again on the ebay store front it is stated exactly the same as the CPO website. Was just confused by the interaction.

I picked up a 2013 X Forged set of irons, and I swear they were new, just fantastic for this older set. Thanks Callaway.

Yeah, years ago I bought a set of 2009 X Forged from them during some sort of "all iron sets 30% off" sale. They were brand new in plastic for like 1/4 of what they had been selling for new just a year earlier. I really liked those irons but couldn't hit them very well, alas.

actually I always thought they were one in the same, personally, but I guess not?

The eBay vs CPO site is my only slight gripe with them. They are not separate and eBay does not set prices (could be wrong). Anytime I buy from their eBay store the purchase shows up in my "Order History" under my account on the CPO website, get reward points too. I experienced the same thing as farva a while back, bought a driver on CPO during a sale, saw the same "like new" driver on eBay the next day, called them and they would not match the price. So I sent the CPO purchase back and bought off eBay, the cost of return shipping still netted me over $30 back. They say that the eBay purchases don't have the same guarantees as CPO (which is true). They may have different departments but in truth are the same.

Regardless, CPO is awesome and I've bought far too much gear from them over the years. BTW, anyone from Austin know, wasn't this store (or company) a local used golf shop for a long time? Pretty sure I used to shop there a lot when I lived in Austin, but cannot remember what their name was.

They have to be the same because every ebay purchase I have made through them also shows up in my order history on the Callaway Pre-owned website and qualifies me for reward points.

Edit***** I didn't read the post above me before leaving my comments. I see he had the same observation.

One of the best things about CPO is their after-the-sale customer support.

as far as ebay and CPO goes (or amazon for that matter) is that they are coming from the same place. The only difference that i've ever ran across is that you can't get your item built to your specs on ebay or amazon even though they're coming from the same place or, obviously, trade in any clubs towards your purchase. If you want those options, you have to go through CPO. For what it's worth, my irons were substantially cheaper on amazon and i called them up and asked if they could get close to that price and get some custom work done to match my specs. they gave me 25% off my irons and then 50% off the lie adjustment so i ended up paying about 20 dollars more total than i would have through amazon. Also got to trade in some old clubs too! Their CS is the best i've ever dealt with (I work with Tad), and they will usually work with you.

Received my very good condition driver and it was more along the lines of good condition. 8 or 9 noticeable scratches on the crown with some having the paint removed. None are very long or wide but still disappointed. Paint was also removed from the sole which I could live with, but does not match the description of very good either. I created a dispute and sent photos right away. Waiting for for a response. Hoping to get a replacement. Is the paint on these heads not durable? My 910 crown looks better being 6 years old.

How quick is callaway to respond to emails? Just trying to get an expectation so I don't get too impatient.

I traded in my CF16/Apex Pro combo set for full set of Apex Pros and couldn't be more pleased. They were listed as good and in my opinion they were near mint. I don't even think some of the clubs had been hit. Not to mention when I called CPO the rep was so helpful. Within 7 minutes I had traded in my clubs and paid for the new ones. Scary how simple they made it. Plus, the new clubs arrived the next day but then again it was Austin to Dallas.

2 Thumbs up to Callaway Pre-Owned.

Bought a bunch of 'average' stuff from them and everything was better than I expected. I got a lob wedge listed as 'like new'. Apparently, their idea of 'like new' is factory rapped. Love 'em!

Just got another gem from them today and it reminded me of the only negative - removing their stickers is a pain in the cheeks.

My niece's reaction to the new club - "maybe you'll win next time."

Again, I can't say it enough - I highly recommend CPO. Best customer service anywhere. If you're looking for Callaway stuff, it just makes sense given their money back guarantees and the condition of their clubs is almost always better than expected or they'll happily swap it out for you.

Developing a relationship with one of their sales reps only ends up making their already great service, even better. I've been working with Walt for years and he's always taken great care of me. Feel free to PM me and I'm happy to make an introduction.

CPO and their eBay store are run from the east same place. I verified this with a recent CS representative. I think recently they have slipped big time in their quality and customer service. I received multiple clubs that I purchased as "like new". At best they were "good" condition. I got a serious run around from 2 different representatives after waiting nearly 15 minutes on hold only to be rushed through over the phone. I think I am officially done with CPO. They ain't what they used to be and frankly you are rolling the dice these days.

I completely disageee. See my post above this one. If you need a sales rep just pm me and I'll introduce you to mine - I think he's great

The thing is, you shouldn't need a special contact to ensure you are getting treated properly. Also, I echo the statement regarding the condition ratings. Out of the last 4 clubs if gotten that we supposed to be like-new, 2 of them were obviously mis-categorized in their end. Scratches on the crown and paint chips. However, I'll give them credit because the other two were flawless. But, is rather purchase used gear for less money when I can see the actual photos. Sticking to the BST whenever possible.

I have purchased for the first time from cpo. One of the things I disliked about ordering from them was being able to see the actual condition of the irons. However based on my reviews for other members about how satisfied they were with their purchase, went ahead. I will admit I am disappointed with the club I received, and the condition. I believe the condition should be relative to the age of a perticular club. If you order a 10 year of set of iron listed in good condition, you have a certain expectation. I ordered a set which is fairly new on the market. 2 irons have dents in the grooves and one iron has browing spots. Under that same rating my 10 year old irons would be in very good condition.
