Super Tommy Fleetwood!

Congratulations to Tommy Fleetwood on the biggest win of his Career to date in Abu Dhabi this afternoon. I will be backing him in the majors if he keeps his form going. He struggled for 12 months from July 2015 to July 2016 but he has found his game again after putting in the hard work down at Formby Hall GC. He had a great end to last season and this victory has got him going already for 2017.

 

He's still rocking his Nike Woods and irons with Callaway wedges and an Odyssey putter... I wonder if he will get some offers from other equipment companies now?

He said he was going to be using what he liked this years. Plus hadn't had enough time this winter to fully trust new euipment, to put in the bag early on. But I am sure he is staying Nike clothing, so guess free to move to another club deal.

Ross Fisher also said similar, going to use what he wants and see what works. Fisher still with Nike bag, but m2 woods, Mizuno irons comet wedges.

That was a great win, he really stiffed that last 3 wood! though he got lucky with the free drop, his tee shot could have been a lot worse!

had a chat with him at the BMW open in Munich a couple of years ago, seems like a really nice guy - hope he continues to play well

Pleased for him to get the second W! Seemed like he was really going to kick start after winning at Gleneagles a few years ago but hopefully that will come with this win.

You know Tommy F. even if he's in the corner of a long camera shot. Kind of nice to have a distinctive look without being a fat slob like John Daly or a showing up in some of the stuff Poulter has worn.

After his 2nd place showing in Mexico Fleetwood is virtually guaranteed a spot in the Masters. He's at #35 in the OWGR so it's *near* impossible he will fall out of the top 50 in the next few weeks.
