Still using the shaft after a year.

 

Longest time a driver shaft has been in my bag.

 

It’s just so consistent. The shaft bends perfectly the same way, every time.

 

SLDR/Epic SZ might cause problems with too low of a spin. I had to shift the weights all the way back to get a playable miss

Yeah differently looking forward to giving it a try, and planning on playing the Epic SZ with the weight in the back (also picked up a heavier weight for it), also I picked up a 2nd SLDR 430 but a 10* head (mine was 9*). Interested to try it in all my different heads.

Having hit all the new shafts from Mitsubishi, Fujikura etc., the HZRDUS T1100 still is the best fit for me.

Are you still continuing to use this shaft? If not what did you move on too.

 

I'm excited to give it a try this week. I picked one up from Will Peoples and had him put a Club Conex Uni Fit adapter on it. So at least I'll be able to give it a go, with my TM M1 430/SLDR 430, and Epic SZ.

 

Mine was sidelined by Even Flow Black. It was no fault of T1100 though. Mine broke and by the time replacement arrived I had already tested and fell in love with EF Black.

Well, finally have a couple rounds and a few range sessions with this shaft, 65G 6.0, not tipped, and club conex uni-fit adapter so have tried it with 4 different heads so far that I own (Epic SZ 9*, SLDR 8.5*, JDM SLDR 10*, M1 430 8.5*.)

 

So just a quick review from "my perspective".

 

Can't lie I don't have a WRX fast swing speed, right about around 100mph. I've been playing the Tensei Pro White 70s tipped .5", or Ahina 70s tipped .5"..

 

My miss with the SLDR 430 was the bad hook, and sometimes pull hook (swing flaw obvioulsy). M1 430 was same but nearly as dramatic (both heads with Tensei Pro White). With the SLDR I was longer, and not being long to begin with, I stayed with the SLDR most of this season, but going to try the M1 430 tomorrow on the course.

 

I can't lie after ordering it, and waiting for it to arrive I started to get nervous reading reviews that I may have made a mistake, because it sounds like this shaft would be much too stiff. But much like the Steelfiber threads you'd think that these shafts played super stiff to other similar shafts from reading on here. But the Steelfibers are the best shafts I've played, and its still early but the this T1100 as of now is the best shaft I've played.

 

Its just so consistent. I don't swing fast, but I guess my transition could be considered quick. This week on the range and the course I've hit more fairways, and my misses have been much better, and nowhere near as drastic. I can't tell you exactly why though... I don't have any LM numbers, but I only play the course I belong too, and I'm equal or close to where my Tensei Pro White ends up on good shots (since I got the shaft the temp has dropped down into the high 50's to mid 60's and I'm still ending up near where a great strike would land in 75* weather and warmer). But my bad shots are not as penalized with a big hook, more of semi big draw as a miss instead of the unplayable duck hook OB, but now still in play and nowhere as drastic as before at all. Again I can't explain why, but so far I'm super happy with the these results I'm seeing so far.

 

So in conclusion so far I'm extremely happy.

Not the longest shaft but damn does it go straight for me, especially on mishits. I love mine but it's super stiff. Tipped over an inch. 75 6.5. I just wish the paint on them didn't look like garbage after heavy use.

I put this shaft in my Epic SZ when it first dropped. i moved onto a XR SZ 460 head and well the T1100 came along with.. and let me tell you. this combo is a beast! I dont see it leaving the bag anytime soon. the only thing that gave it a run was the M3 with CK Pro Orange.

it doesn't -- different profile and 'fit' if you will.

 

the T1100 is imo stiffer overall - the PO has a bit more kick and smoother comparatively. both spin similarly, maybe a touch less to the PO assuming the T1100 isn't tipped.

Just from reading I would assume the launch and spin wise the T1100 would be lower in both.

 

Need to give the PO a Couple more rounds to see if things sort themselves out

Hit it a bunch (gmax 8* and 6.5 65g t1100) side by side with my m4 PO combo.

 

The shaft feels great. The head just launches to high for me and to draw bias. In a LsT head it might be money.

 

Going to get the tip swapped and try it in the m4 head.

 

Added some lead tape to the m4 and it seemed to be money. Very consistent strike and very boring flight.

Going to get a tm tip on it and have a head to head in my m4.

I'm still gaming mine in a M4 head. I love this shaft- it is so stable and my dispersion is so much tighter then any other shaft I've hit. My misses have been reduced so much it is great. Don't get me wrong, if you put a horrible swing on any shaft you are going to see bad results.... but overall my misses have been way more playable and allows me to keep rounds going. Not sure it is the longest combo for me but I am still hitting it plenty far and I'm more then willing to give up some yards for accuracy. I have the 6.0/65 gram in the driver and the 6.0/75 gram in my 4 wood.

Anyone still using this beast besides me?  I wouldn't mind trying the Smoke Green counterbalanced as well
