I've been sitting on my hands anxiously waiting to upgrade my RBZ Tour Spoon for nearly 5 years. I use it as my driver.

 

I have now seen the past two versions of the M2 Fairways available on tour in a 13/13.5* head but nothing publicly available to retail. Sure, I could spend $400 on eBay for one but not really interested in doing that.

 

Please, please, please release a 13* Fairway!! I will be first in line!

I don't understand why company's don't offer this stuff to atleast custom order. Another problem is wedges under 50 degrees.

Beats me. Everyone is offering a 13* or 13.5* option.

Im VERY VERY interested in the TS M2 Tour ( pictured )

 

I still use the original SLDR TS 14 cranked all the way down and its the LONGEST fairway wood I have eve used period. If you could offer me up more forgiveness in the same sized package with the M2 i'd be all over that like a fat kid to a birthday cake.

Keep emailing taylormade till they do. I've already mentioned I am doing this for both the strong 3w and 5w in m2 tour.

 

816 H1 17* was released after lots of customer requests. Just keep emailing them through their contact us page.

Probably mass produce/order retail stuff to keep costs down. Likely don't think the demand justifies adding it as an option. If enough people complain and nag Taylormade, might be able to change their mind.

MY SECOND RESPONSE:

Im well aware of what lofts will release for retail. Im personally and group requesting a release for 13.5 and 18* for retail. We shouldnt have to go through tour issue or the vault and pay way more for what are considered regular lofts. TaylorMade should know better, this isn't asking for much. Many people are disappointed in this fairway not being released in more loft options. Its not difficult to make this head in two more lofts at least for a custom order, it doesnt have to be stocked in retail stores. I thought TaylorMade went the extra mile?

Very interested in this as well, definitely count me in ! Just extensively tested a lot of lower lofted combos and most do not have a shape/profile that suits my preferences from address. I have seen the 15* M2 tour and was very much disappointed to find that a lower lofted option would not be readily available at retail. Have played V steel TS, 200 tour 13*, r7tp ti TS, 07 burner tp TS, and 08 Burner ts (sense a theme??) whenever carried lower lofted fairway- so hoping interest will be sufficient for you to reconsider at least offering some availability through retail other than through the Vault.

I'm a longtime T3 player and I had a chance to chat with someone at TM about strong 3-woods back in 2013 after the launch of RBZ Stage 2. The line back then was that you didn't need a strong 3W anymore because the original RBZ was so revolutionary. According to this person, since the new 15 degree went as far as a strong 3 but with higher launch, it was more playable and better than a strong 3. All of their fairways since the OG RBZ have had a speed slot and similar design philosophy, so I imagine this might still be the company's position towards the retail market.

 

If you're looking for a T3 and don't want to pay tour issue prices, buy a different brand and then email TM and let them know they lost a sale. It won't change much, but voting with your wallet is the only thing that has any hope of making a difference. The problem is that the overall market for these is so small compared to standard loft heads that it won't impact overall sales much if they miss out on a few.

So I sent the email. Their reply was to get an M1 and turn down the loft to 13* which creates a fade bias..........Exactly what I DO NOT need!! I fight the fade/slice already.

 

I went and demo'd the SZ Epic Fairway at 13.5* and it is a bomber off the tee. The face is deeper and with the weights set correctly, it is as long as a driver. Pending something in the next month or so from TM announcing that they are releasing a 13* fairway, the SZ Epic will be in the bag once the ground thaws here in WI!

Cant they be bent? I read Jason Day has a 16.5 bent to 14.5. Im not well versed in it but that hosel is huge. Heat it up and work it a couple degrees. Probably a lot more difficult than that though.

Does anyone have an email directly to TM that actually works. I'm using their customer service page to bother them constantly about this lol 2-3 times a day. Using their provided email is always bounced, undelivered.

 

If anyone is touch with TM reps, let them know how disappointing this is. I genuinely think it's ridiculous for any major oem to not release a mass market fairway in strong 3w and 5w loft. They are offered by almost every other oem.

Did you get a chance to set down the 5w head. Is it relatively deep too? In the market for a 5W.

 

I'd tune it down to 17* and shorten to 41.50", make into a battler type club

Got the same response from Taylormade regarding opening the M1. Sent a subsequent email to them and advised that had seen the M2 tour 15* and liked profile much better than M1, will update when/if receive further reply.

Some who like the feel of the M2 over the M1 would love to have an M2 3HL adjusted down to 15 degrees so we could achieve a fade bias. Or also the opposite for some... buy a 13 degree and adjust it up to 15 degrees to achieve a draw bias!

Agreed with all points except 5w loft. Cally offers both SZ and normal Epic in 18*. That's their direct competitor
