Some of the best Hideki media quotes ever, from GD:

-(To Rickie Fowler) You're a quarter Japanese. Do you feel any samurai spirit from Hideki?

-(To Tiger Woods) I saw a report that Hideki Matsuyama got to say hi to you yesterday, and he really looks up to you and he's stoked about it. I was wondering, in your opinion, what makes him rank so high in top picks, and also what does he need to improve to win a major?

-(To Jordan Spieth) When you were amateur, Hideki Matsuyama ranked first on World Ranking and you two were rivals, but you won the Masters first. What is your impression of him and what do you think is the chance of winning a Major for him?

-(To Jason Day) You have been placing second in Masters and U.S. Opens multiple times and Hideki Matsuyama of Japan has placed in fifth in Masters and he's also trying to win a Major. What do you think are his best strengths?

-(To Rickie Fowler) Yesterday the PGA issued a who's favored to win and you ranked fifth. Hideki Matsuyama ranked in ninth. As a rival in the same generation, what is your impression of Hideki?

i find this absolutely hilarious

I don't think much of Danny's Champions dinner menu. Prime rib, Apple crumble is ok but kind of lackluster, Yorkshire pudding, that's not lackluster but... And meat pie as a starter.

Sounds like what was served home at the rectory back in the days.

Stenson wins, Surströmming is a must as a starter on the 2018 menu. Danny could well have had throwed that in as well, in honour of his mother's backgrounds.

My son and I create an Un-Master's list each year. These are the players we do not want to see on Sunday.

1. Kuchar

His Dad's sophomoric actions as a caddie.

2. Zach Johnson

Rides too high on his moral horse

3. Dustin Johnson

Dope Addict

4. D.A. Points

We do not trust people who don't use real first names.

5. Rory McIlroy

Modern day Greg Norman - too arrogant for a green jacket

Ha!

Nice late April fools ; )

Zach is definitely at the top of my Un-Masters. But it's not a high horse. He is a horseman of the apocalypse! Pure evil, that Zach.

Seeing Zach "always bringing religion into the conversation even though I work on the Sabbath" Johnson on Sunday makes me ill.

And seeing Kuchar's dad wearing free Sketchers. The shoes are bad enough without a Kuchar inside of them.

I am pulling for a veteran this year.

Fred, Phil or Sergio.

Curious to know what your opinion of Tiger would be? Essentially you shouldn't root for anyone, Phil "tagged" for gambling/inside trading, Sergio "tagged" as a hot head/racist, and Fred is just as arrogant, if not more than Norman and McIlroy.

Tiger is the best player of the modern era, second only to Jack. Since he is not playing this week, discussion about Mr. Woods is irrelevant. If he was playing I would be pulling for him.

Phil - can't stand the guy. He is # 7 on my list. However, I like multiple winners.

Sergio - has personality, not like these drones that play now. Controversy (unrelated to drugs) is interesting.

Fred - been one of my favorites of all time. Fans and players like the guy. He still draws a crowd.

Saw an interview with Dustin Johnson yesterday. They asked two questions and he seemed confused how to answer. Actually, he look just plain confused.

Reminded me of a tree stump.

Re: Where do you rank on the list? What shall we "tag" you as?

From deeasy55

So typical. The thread is about the Masters. I give my opinion about certain players, albeit a different (non-standard) perspective, and one of you has to make it personal. Why on earth would you care what I think about these players? Do you feel a vicarious need to defend them, or are you trying to preserve the sanctity of a masters discussion? Most pro golfers are not model citizens - this is a fact.

If you don't like it, please refrain from reading.

Enjoy the tourney.

Except your post had very little to do with the Masters and was simply a bitter rant about golfers and their relatives personalities.

I concur with others that this is an unnecessarily negative way to talk about the upcoming week and i expect was done simply to provoke a reaction and get attention.

Let's stick to the golf shall we.

Your post had feck all to do with the Masters and more to do with your own personality 'shining' through from where the sun don't shine for all to see.

And now back to the Masters discussion.

So how's the weather looking? What side of the draw is looking better?

I heard cool & very windy on Thurs & Fri...course should dry out fast and sounds like will be very challenging first 2 rounds

Was watching "Masters on the Range" when I was Matthew Fitzpatrick warming up next to DJ, I couldn't help but notice his caddie has a driver built identical to the one he was hitting balls with only the one the caddie had has a Flatcat putter grip on it. Any ideas what this is for?

It's for one of his drills from his swing coach Pete Cowen. Pretty much every player in his stable has a club with a putter grip on it.

Here's Darren Clarke's wedge with a putter grip on it.

Pretty sure the older champions that were there when Lyle served haggis appreciate the lackluster stuff

Just be thankful there are no Polish winners! The DUCK BLOOD SOUP would scare away everyone!
