MP-25s No Longer Available

Finally decided to bite the bullet and replace my MP-32s. I liked both the 900 Tours and MP-25s after trying them on the range and in the hitting bays, but ultimately decided to go with the MP-25s. So I went today, got fitted and placed an order for MP-25s with KBS C Taper Lite S. Just got a call from the fitter and Mizuno has already retired the 25s and they don't have a full set of heads left to build a set.

 

The question is do I go with the JPX 900 Tours or wait to see what is going to replace the 25s in the MP line? The soles of the 900 were a little thinner than I wanted, but I did hit them well and they did feel buttery soft. Are the MP-18 SCs the replacement for the 25s or is there something else in the works?

900 tours for sure. Great irons, great feel.

 

Look at all the tour guys playing them without a contract. Must say something about them.

 

Or find a set of 25's on eBay With your shafts

You're better off getting 900 Tours. MP 25s there's a reason so many on EBay

To each his own but i love my MP-25's. They will be in the bag for a while.

I made the exact same change recently. I played 32's for ages and just switched to 25's. I've played maybe 10 rounds with them and couldn't be much happier. I felt the exact same way about the Tours. My advice would be to save yourself some coin and scoop up a set off the BST (which is what I did) or the bay.

I just built a set tonight, going in the bag in the AM....MP25's are super nice! I have read tons of posts about how people dont think they are all that...but they are. I got mine here on BST for a great deal, but deals can be had over on the bay as well. IMO, just as good or better than current offerings and a fraction of the cost.

 

I wasnt impressed with the tours for my game, the 25's have just the right forgiveness.

OP, if you were going to go with MP25, try MP5s. They are more forgiving than they look. ;)

Found the mp25 kind of large headed in the higher irons.

But they look great to JP, aesthetically speaking. Was kinda meh on the feel, which surprised...

Got my set in March and am really happy with them. Still dialing in distances but I am very happy with just about every aspect of these clubs.

OP, if you were going to go with MP25, try MP5s. They are more forgiving than they look. ;)

Mp 25. Buy from eBay or bst with your shafts. The mp 25 has more perimeter weighting and has a micro slot cavity which give the face some spring and forgiviness. Mizuno has been jumping around with their irons and no longer making direct replacements of clubs like they used to so there's no guarantee that there will be a direct replacement of the 25. The mp 64, 54, and 15 all got chopped from the mp line without any new replacement.

The 66 felt like they pushed the 54/64 together in terms of design and found middle ground.
