Precision Rifle Flighted 5.5 vs KBS C-taper R+

Dear WRX Community,

I'm looking for some guidance - here's my dilemma:

 

- Currently playing Titleist AP2 716 in KBS C Taper R+ flex. Driver SS average is 102, moderate tempo with a quicker transition.

- Picked up a 5 iron recently with True Temper Dynamic Gold S300 shaft (the stock shaft from Titleist), and am striping it - which got me thinking about the current shafts I am playing

- Hit some PXG irons with old (Pre Project X) Precision Rifle shafts in them and loved the feel of the shafts

....so I hit the bay and bought a new set of Precision Rifle Flighted 5.5 shafts

 

I would not mind hitting the longer irons higher (maybe an oxymoron, since I start at 5i).

 

Now I am to the moment of truth. What should I expect when switching out the C Taper for the Flighted Precision Rifle shafts? I've checked weights, and it looks like the Rifles are 5g heavier (120 vs 115).

Im thinking...LOL..... what do you expect since you bought them?

 

TT S300 is a flex, not a shaft

Driver club speed want help much to pick the right iron shaft

Rifle is Descending weight, and even more descending weight as flighted then standard.(its a mix of base shafts)

Rifle has a totally different profile than C-Taper

 

so what do you expect?

All i can say is that you can expect them to feel different than what you got, but if its good or bad for you, how would i know?

I'll buy one set of the pulls from you whichever you choose to drop. Seems we have a similar dilemma :)

Matt - Thanks! I will let you know where I come out. I have two sets of AP2s , so I'm dropping off the 716s today to get the Rifles installed and will be able to do a pretty good side by side comparison I think.
