Titleist 917f2 Who's playing it?

Have titleist started releasing the 917f2 heads in black as well. I thought they were all grey, but have seen some pop up with black heads.

Just picked a 16.5 f2 off eBay - played and got rid of 915fd and have been struggling with the lie on the M2 in my signature.

Enjoying it so far for the reasons the guys mentioned above, probably look at getting hold of another shaft as the Stiff standard Speeder shaft feels a bit soft.

I just picked up a 917F2 with Diamana White 80 after playing the 910F with Tour Green shaft for awhile. Only had one range session with it (night time), and now I need to dial it in. I was actually anticipating a lower launch from the 917, but it elevated quickly.

I don't think it's as long as some of the other 3 woods out there -- for instance, I hit the M2 with the same loft about 5 yards farther -- but I find it extremely accurate and consistent. It's also the best feeling/sounding 3 wood I've ever played.

I'm not looking for a 3 wood that keeps up distance-wise with my driver; I want something that flies a consistent yardage with a consistent trajectory that I can find the fairway with. The 917 F2 checks those boxes a lot better than the M2 did for me.

I've had my 917F2 for a little over a month. Played with it a couple times and had a few driving range sessions. Anyone think the A1 (Standard) loft/lie setting looks closed? I tried opening it up to B2 (fade bias) and it still looks closed! It's messing with my head.

Anyone else seeing this?

That's odd to me. I prefer my driver and 3 wood to look open at address, and my 917F2 in A1 settings fits the bill. Mine hasn't come out of A1, so can't speak as to how it looks in other settings.

Also prefer an open look at address. Have my 917F2 setting at B1 and looks perfect. Prior had a 915Fd also B1 setting. The 917F2 is larger than the 915Fd, but I personally prefer the look of the 917F2 - also prefer the feel and sound. Just feels really solid when struck well - reminds me of my old persimmon woods!

Have the 917 f3 in 13.5 and love it. Absolutely raging they didnt go f2 in 13.5 this time around!! ??

I have the 5 we and hit it deep for me . But yesterday the adapter broke in my down swing . So waiting on it to get fixed

I have the F2 16.5* as well. Had a 910 Fd 13.5* set at 14.25, which worked for a while. Could hit it almost as long as driver off the tee but not really well off the ground. Tried an RBZ stage 2 3HL for a season or so, but even after a shaft change, I had issues with misses left - pulls and pull hooks that weren't playable. I don't have that miss anyh longer (thank goodness), but my miss is now a straight block, maybe 20-30 yards straight right. Looking for a different shaft than the Dia Red 60 Stiff and will try some things from the Titleist shaft library once they get up and going in 2018.

It took me some practice time to get comfortable hitting this off the ground as well, and strangely I have actually topped a few off a tee - very weird.

Playing a 16.5 at D1 (15.75 with more open face) paired with a Diamana White 80X. Its a beast!! I played a TM M2 tour prior to this. The only one that could compete with it would be a Exotics CBX 16.5 with Hzrds Black 75.
