Best 3/4 Wood off the deck...

Been having trouble finding one...

 

I've tried, in order of preference:

PING Anser 14.5*

PING G25 15*

Mizuno F-60 15*

Titleist 909F3 13*

Cobra Fly-Z+ 13.5*

PING Rapture V2 16*

Cobra Amp Cell-S 16*

 

 

Anyone have any other suggestions?

I picked up a Bridgestone j33 last year out of a used bin and it's the only fairway I've ever been this consistent with. It's a cheap experiment.

I have an RBZ 3HL (17*) that I like so much I picked up a RBZ Tour Spoon (13*). I'm taking it out the weekend for it's maiden voyage.

The XR 16 4wood (17 degrees) is money! So easy to hit, nice and straight and long!

 

If you want a 3 wood, I would recommend the GBB one. It is adjustable (from 14-17 degrees) if wanted but also easy to hit, straight and long but I find the XR 16 4wood even easier so the 3wd is no longer in the bag! :)

Callaway XR16 4W for me, way easier to hit off the deck than the same in a 3W. Enough so that I sold the 3.....

Yer not wrong... there is a bit of that...

 

As my swing has improved with practice and some lessons, I've noticed hitting it off the deck is getting to be a more disparate scenario than simply off the tee. there are certainly other factors involved lie the lie and some conditions sometimes...

 

In all honesty, the Anser is 'working for me' and the G25 was good too, but I've been curious if there's a consensus among the WRXers as to some hidden gem I don't know about thats about as simple as point and shoot...

I played an original X Hot 3 Wood for years, then the head separated from the head. Loved that club, but the stock Stiff shaft was loose.

 

Instead of fixing, like any club ho, figured why not try something different. Picked up a 2016 M1 3HL with a Rogue 80 and am blown away with it. Picked up 10 yard off the tee and hit it way straighter off the deck. Not leaving the bag anytime soon. They can be had quite cheap now as an added bonus.

Obviously, I am a big fan of the Cobra FWs. I find the sole design really helps promote clean contact and alignment. I tend to like the Bio Cell over all the others though.

I have a Callaway XR 4 wood currently in the bag and it's really nice off the deck.

 

That being said I'm in a tinkering mood and am looking to put together a new FW with a 2017 M1 3HL.

I have not tried it but several my playing partners rant and rave over the cobra f7 3/4. Apparently the rails on the bottom make it pretty thoughtless to get a fairway wood up off the deck.

My personal preference is for a low profile face - and for me the XR range work perfectly (I'm sure the XR 16 would too)

I carry 3/5 woods. Just bough an M2 16.5 HL to see if I can create space in the bag (use as a 4) - it works well

I still game a Ping TiSi Tec or Bridgestone J33 with Purple Ice 75FW-X. The TiSi Tec was money until I recently had to send it to Ping to get reshafted a couple months ago and now it seems to sit a little closed.
