Treetops Masterpiece or Premiere

I'm going to book Treetops in the next couple days for next week. We will be playing Threetops staying the night and then either playing the Jones Masterpiece or the Fazio Premier. It's really no big deal I guess which one I play, I hear they're both amazing and whatever one I don't play I'll be playing next year. Just curious if anyone's played both which one is in better condition if any and which one has the better scenery. Don't know for sure but I think the Jones Masterpiece is maybe a little higher rated but it might be kind of cool to put a Fazio course in your collection of played courses since it's the only one in Michigan. Thanks for any help

Obviously everyone is going to have a different opinion as to which is "the best" one but I definitely enjoy the Signature the most. Masterpiece is pretty iconic (especially that one par 3) so it's worth playing for the experience.

Signature is an easy number 1. IMO.. But Treetops as a whole has taken a dive in last 5 years.. Condition has been terrible and it wouldn't surprise me if the file another bankruptcy? Hope you have better luck!!

Played Treetops this year and the courses are all in great shape and have been for the last few years. They are doing great as they are in the process of a 4 millon dollar renovation.

 

Signature is the best course at Treetops and is a blast to play. The greens are great and the course makes you use every club in your bag. Premier is the second best course in my opinion as its very golf friendly. The course has alot of elevation change and is a great Fazio course.

 

The Masterpiece is a very very tough golf course and will eat you alive if your not playing well. Hole # 6 (Par 3) is one of the best holes in the U.S. but other than that I really dont care for that course compared to the rest. Hole # 6 is actually the picture on my screen by my name.

 

Play the Signature if you can.....you wont regret it.

I used to work at Garland which is 45 minutes south of Treetops and played the courses a bunch.....I loved Masterpiece for the challenge of it and I think it was a well designed course....Premier is ok and the worst of the bunch imho...Signature is a typical northern MI resort course but a better designed one that offers good scenery and a pretty good design. I would rank Signature as my 3rd favorite behind Masterpiece and Traditions personally...

I would rank them Signature, Masterpiece, Traditions and in a distant 4th place Premier. Just don't like that course.

I just got back from Treetops. I played all of the 18 hole courses there for the first time. I would rank them as follows: Masterpiece, Signature, Premier and Tradition. Conditions were awesome and all the greens were rolling fast with the exception of Tradition. My group of 48 can't wait to go back next year!
