Looking to upgrade a 3 year old 55 in Samsung. Was thinking about a 65 inch lg oled for around 2200 bucks, but read a review that said they weren't that good for watching typical cable, which is primarily what I watch; golf channel etc. since I watch a lot of golf, how the tv handles golf telecasts is most important to me, as opposed to streaming movies etc

 

What would you get for 2400 and under?

Tonight I'm going to be ordering a 55in Sony XBR55X900e which is down from $1300 to $998 looked at multiple options in LG Sony and Samsung to replace my 47 inch Vizio LCD. The Sony X900e series seems to be the consistently higher rated of the comparable models and of the closest to OLED without the price

 

I suggest taking a look at Rtings a lot of good info and incredibly detailed reviews that get updated over time.

The wife and I always go later to see if there's anything left just to have some fun. Went to wal mart last night and was wondering around and found the 39 inch smart tv for 125 in the vacuums. Don't know if someone didn't want it or tried to stash it but if they went back and it was gone I bet they didn't have a good night!

I got the lg oled yesterday. So far only watched a movie but it's got an incredible picture.
