RainGear for my high school team

I'm the coach of my high schools golf team and as a spring sport (march-may) in NJ we are exposed to some of the worst golf weather possible. My school is a urban/suburban district where most of the kids who come out have very little experience playing, old clubs if they have anything and little in the way of extras such as golf shoes and rain gear. I've purchased umbrellas for the team but now would like to get some proper rain gear for at least our 6 starters. I don't want to break the bank/budget since I am probably going to be digging into my own pocket for this. I'm able to get adidas stuff, but all of their stuff say "water resistant" which I know means, not worth it. Also I'm hoping to get a couple years use out of this stuff. It would stay in our equipment room, hung up and kids would only use it if weather was going to be bad for a practice round or match.

 

Any brands that you have had good luck with? I'd love to be able to get our logo on it, but maybe I should be looking for closeout specials. I'd say I'm looking more for a quality product than something that looks nice but won't hold up. I know I am not going to find Galvin Green's on closeout for $50 a piece, but if I can help keep my kids dry(ish) in 40 degree rain, that would be nice. Thanks guys.

You might want to take a look at the Proquip stuff. They have a USA distribution now and they run good sales from time to time if you watch.

I like their stuff alot.

I would contact all the major golf clothing companies and ask for an educational discount. I would think they would want to help. When I worked in a pro shop the typical employee discount for clothing was 50%. Hopefully a kind hearted company would give a school an even better deal.

I have Sun Mountain rain gear for my HS team. They are great. You can contact them directly. They will embroider your team logo on them, like they did mine and the best part is they give a huge discount for school teams. They actually have a school team program if you fill out their proper paperwork. I have been using them for several years, they will even let you purchase golf bags, just about everything they sale at a big discount.

I picked up some Island Green rain gear off Amazon last spring. $50 for top and bottoms. Kept me dry through the 4ish rounds I played this year.
